Preparing to Use the WX3100
Attach the bracket to the bottom of the WX3100 as shown.
[Description of bracket attachment visual: The WX3100 unit is shown with a bracket being secured to its base.]
Consider where you want to place the WX3100 to extend your wireless network. The extender should be placed close to, but not in, a Wi-Fi blackspot. It needs to connect to the router to create the mesh network and maximize coverage.
[Description of placement visual: An illustration shows a network setup with a router, the WX3100 extender, and client devices in different rooms (Room 1, Room 2), indicating areas needing WiFi coverage.]
There are two ways to set up your extender.
Setting Up Your Extender - Option 1: Wired Connection
Connect the WX3100's LAN port to the original MPro Mesh Router's LAN port using the included Ethernet cable. Plug in the power adapter and wait until the POWER and LINK LEDs are steady green.
[Description of connection visual: Shows the WX3100 connected via Ethernet cable to a router, with power adapter plugged in. Close-ups highlight the LAN port and power connection.]
Unplug the Ethernet and power cables from the WX3100.
Place the WX3100 in the desired location to extend your wireless network.
Plug in the power adapter. Ensure the LINK LED is steady green (preferred) or amber.
Wait until the power LED turns steady green.
[Description of power LED visual: A graphic shows the WX3100 with a power cable connected, indicating the power LED should be steady green.]
For more details on the LEDs, refer to the table below. To add more extenders, repeat from step 1.
Note: The Ethernet cable is not required for this step.
