BATHROOM FURNITURE CUSTOMER CARE GUIDE
To help maintain the original beauty of your bathroom furniture, please follow these guidelines.
Melamine, Vinyl and Foil Wrapped Doors
Occasional marks can usually be removed with a soft damp cloth. For more persistent marks, use a non-silicone based furniture cleaner. Avoid hot soapy water. After cleaning, wipe the area with a damp cloth to remove excess cleaner and dry with a soft, clean cloth. Do not use solvent or abrasive cleaners, as these can cause permanent damage to the finish.
High Gloss Doors
Use cleaning products that do not contain aggressive substances like acetone, alcohol, or bleach, as these can seriously damage the surface. It is best to use a soft cotton or microfibre cloth with only water and mild soap (containing a maximum of 1% liquid soap).
Carcase Components
Do not use polish on any surfaces. A damp cloth with soapy water will clean most marks or spills. Avoid bleaches, scouring pads, and multi-surface cleaners.
Drawers, Runners, Door Hinges
Wipe with a damp, soapy cloth and dry with a soft cloth as needed. Roller runners and hinges are lubricated and should not be cleaned with a degreasing agent, as this can affect their movement. Never lean on partially or fully opened doors and drawers. Hinges are designed to support the door weight plus small additional weights. It is advised to check that all screws on the hinges are tight every six months after installation.
Worktops
Although worktops are hard-wearing, sharp objects can scratch and excessive heat can scorch the surface. Avoid dropping heavy objects onto the worktop to prevent cracking. For cleaning, a damp, soapy cloth will remove most spills. Do not use bleaches, scouring pads, or multi-surface cleaners. Corrosive liquids and make-up should be wiped off immediately. Do not allow any spillage, including water, to remain on the surface.
Temperature and Humidity
Avoid excessive changes in temperature and humidity. Always ensure adequate ventilation.
General Care, Spillages and Splashes
Do not allow spillages or splashes, even water, to remain on any surface. Wipe dry immediately. Failure to do so may shorten the product's life expectancy and invalidate any guarantees.
Installation Guidance
Please spend 5 minutes reading this section before commencing with the installation of your new furniture.
- Should any items have a defect, do NOT install them, as returns will not be accepted once fitted.
- It is advised to use a qualified person for installation; issues relating to poor fitting will not be accepted by the supplier.
- The product may be handmade and in some cases hand-painted, so minor imperfections may be present and deemed acceptable by the supplier.
- This product is water-resistant but NOT waterproof. Do not allow spillages or splashes, including water, to lie on any surface. Wipe dry immediately to avoid shortening product life and invalidating guarantees.
- Avoid direct sunlight, as it can cause painted surfaces to discolour.
- Due to transit movement, cabinet doors and drawers may require adjustment after installation.
- Floor standing units must be secured back to the wall through the backrail using suitable fixings (not supplied).
- Basin units should be fitted similarly. The basin should also be secured where applicable using Fischer bolts through the fixing points under the basin (not supplied). Note that not all basins have this facility.
- Wall hung units must be secured back to the wall using the wall hanging brackets or suitable wall fixings (not supplied). Additional support is recommended using 'L' brackets (not supplied).
- When fixing to a stud or panelled wall, appropriate framework should be installed to support the basins and units.
- Where units or worktops require cut-outs for services, all raw edges MUST be sealed against water ingress.
Hinge Adjustment
A - Vertical Adjustment: Loosen screw 'A' on all hinges. Adjust the door position and retighten the screw.
B - Lateral Adjustment: Loosen screw 'B'. Adjust the door position and retighten the screw.
C - Horizontal Adjustment: Loosen screw 'B' by 1.5 turns. Turn screw 'C' until the door is positioned correctly, then retighten screw 'B'.
Drawers Remove/Install
To Remove the Drawer: Follow step 'A' to remove the fastener, then follow step 'B'.
To Install the Drawer: Follow step 'B', then follow step 'A' to lock the fastener.
Drawer Position Adjustment: If drawer position needs altering, follow step 'C' to adjust the screw.
Tools Required for Installations
The following tools are typically required:
- Spirit Level
- Rubber Mallet
- Hammer
- Nails
- Screwdrivers (Phillips and Flathead)
- Drill
- 5mm Drill Bit
- Silicone Gun
Handle Drilling: Doors and drawers are provided undrilled to accommodate different handle lengths. Once the door/drawer orientation is selected, measure the center-to-center hole dimension for the handle and mark it on the outside of the door (double-check this, as drilled doors cannot be returned). Place a block of wood on the inside of the door, and apply masking tape to the outside where the hole is to be made to prevent chipping. Drill through from the front using a 5mm drill bit, without forcing the drill. After drilling, apply a small amount of clear silicone in the holes to seal the door.
Safety Note: Units must be secured to the wall using suitable fixings (pre-drilled holes are provided in the back panel of the unit). Wall fixings are not supplied and can be purchased from a local DIY store.
When fitting a basin to a unit, apply a bead of silicone to the top edge of the basin unit to seal between the basin and the unit.
Wall Hung Unit Installation
Note: Fixings are included in the box.
Measure the 'L' distance between each bracket on the unit, and the 'H' (height) as requested by the customer. The standard height is 850mm (including basin height) from floor to wash basin.
Installation Steps:
- Measure the 'L' and 'H' dimensions.
- Mark the corresponding fixing points on the wall.
- Attach the wall brackets to the wall using appropriate fixings (not supplied).
- Attach the corresponding fittings to the unit.
- Hang the unit onto the wall brackets.
- Perform final checks and adjustments.

Installation Steps:
- Measure the 'L' and 'H' dimensions.
- Mark the corresponding fixing points on the wall.
- Attach the wall brackets to the wall using appropriate fixings (not supplied).
