Functions
1. Backlight Display
Press the reset button on the top once to trigger the backlight. It remains on for about 10 seconds, making it easier to read the screen in dark conditions.
2. Smart Linkage
Create automated scenes with other Tuya smart devices. For example, set the air conditioner to turn on automatically when the indoor temperature exceeds 30°C.
3. Temperature Unit Switch
Switch the temperature display unit between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C) within the app's settings. Press the reset button once to synchronize the selected unit to both the device screen and the app.
4. Temp & Humidity Records
View historical temperature and humidity data, stored for up to one year. This data can be exported to your email address. [Graph icon]

Set custom temperature and humidity ranges in the app's Scene page. The app will send an instant alarm message when these preset ranges are exceeded.
6. Temp & Humidity Calibration
Calibrate temperature and humidity readings within the app's settings. Select the desired calibration value, then press the reset button once to synchronize the adjusted values to the device screen and the app.
7. Third-Party Voice Control
Enquire about current temperature and humidity readings using voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant smart speakers.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. When are the temperature and humidity readings most accurate?
Readings become more accurate and reliable approximately 30 minutes after configuration is completed, allowing the sensor to acclimate to the actual ambient environment.
2. What if the temperature and humidity on the screen are not synchronized with the data in the app?
This can occur if the deviation between the screen display and the app data exceeds:
- ±0.5°C for temperature.
- ±5% for humidity.
3. When are the temperature and humidity readings synchronized between the screen and the app?
Synchronization occurs:
- After network configuration is completed.
- When the device reports temperature and humidity data to the Tuya cloud.
- When the device detects significant environmental changes:
- Temperature change of ±0.5°C or humidity change of ±5% will trigger an update every 2 minutes.
- Temperature change less than ±0.5°C or humidity change less than ±5% will trigger an update every 1 hour.
- When the backlight is triggered, readings on the screen are locked for 2 minutes. If the backlight is triggered again within 2 minutes, readings are locked for up to 15 minutes.
4. Please keep the device away from any heat source.
To ensure accurate readings, avoid placing the sensor near heat sources.
5. How to calibrate Fahrenheit?
To calibrate Fahrenheit, first calibrate Celsius, then switch the unit to Fahrenheit in the app settings.
6. Battery usage and network connection advice.
Use only alkaline batteries. Configure the network connection immediately after installing batteries. Ensure the network is stable; an unstable or offline network connection will cause the sensor to continuously search, significantly consuming battery power.
7. Voice commands for Alexa and Google.
Examples of voice commands include:
- "OK Google, what is the [device] humidity?"
- "OK Google, what is the [device] temperature?"
- "Alexa, what is the [device] humidity?"
- "Alexa, what is the temperature of [device name]?"
