Installation Instructions

This section provides step-by-step instructions for mounting the SOMMER 7023 Photo Eye (2-wire).

1. Step 1: Preparation

   Begin installation. The ? symbol indicates the start. Maximum recommended distance between transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) units is 10 meters.

2. Step 2: Mounting Bracket Placement

   Position mounting brackets (labeled A and B for TX and RX respectively). Ensure a minimum clearance of 25mm from any surface. The total cable length should not exceed 10 meters.

3. Step 3: Mount Transmitter (TX)

   Attach the TX unit to its designated mounting point. The diagram shows a measurement of 225mm from a reference point.

4. Step 4: Mount Receiver (RX)

   Attach the RX unit to its designated mounting point. The diagram shows a measurement of 225mm from a reference point.

5. Step 5: Secure Units to Brackets

   Attach the TX and RX units securely to their respective mounting brackets.

6. Step 6: Connect Cables to TX

   Connect the wiring to the TX unit. The diagram shows two wires being connected.

7. Step 7: Connect Cables to RX

   Connect the wiring to the RX unit. The diagram shows two wires being connected.

8. Step 8: Align TX and RX Units

   Align the TX and RX units. The diagram shows them positioned opposite each other.

9. Step 9: Confirmation of Alignment

   Confirm successful alignment. The 'click' symbol indicates successful alignment or connection.

10. Step 10: Transmitter Unit Dimensions

    The transmitter unit has dimensions of approximately 50mm width and 36mm height.

11. Step 11: Receiver Unit Dimensions

    The receiver unit has dimensions of approximately 50mm width and 36mm height.

12. Step 12: Final Unit Placement

    The TX and RX units are shown in their final mounted positions.

13. Step 13: Connect to Control Unit

    Connect the 2-wire system cables from the TX and RX units to the control unit. The diagram shows a TX+RX connection point.
