1. Important Safety Instructions
Please read and follow all safety instructions provided in the manual to ensure safe operation and prevent damage to the unit or personal injury. Key instructions include:
- Do not use the device near water.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Do not block ventilation openings.
- Avoid heat sources like radiators or amplifiers.
- Ensure proper grounding and use the correct plug type.
- Protect the power cord from damage.
- Use only manufacturer-specified accessories.
- Use caution when moving the unit on a cart.
- Unplug during thunderstorms or when unused for extended periods.
- Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
- Do not expose to rain or moisture.
- Ensure the power plug is easily accessible.
- Dispose of batteries properly.

2. Introduction
Overview of the Main Unit and Remote Control
The WFT-4 features an LCD screen and various buttons on the main unit and an accompanying remote control. Key components include:
- LCD Screen
- Volume Up/Down buttons
- Bluetooth pairing button
- Tuning/Selection buttons
- Menu, Info, Back, Mode, Sleep, Alarm buttons
- Preset buttons (1-5)
- Auxiliary inputs
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas
- Telescopic antenna
- Various audio output/input ports (SPDIF, Line Out, Aux)
3. Getting Started
Choosing a Suitable Location
Place the radio on a flat surface, away from heat sources, and ensure adequate ventilation. For Wi-Fi connectivity, choose a location with good signal strength, away from devices that may cause interference (e.g., microwaves).
Preparing the Remote Control
The remote control requires two AAA batteries. Insert them according to the polarity indicated in the battery compartment.
Connecting the Radio to the Mains
Use the provided power cord. Ensure your mains voltage matches the rating on the unit (100-240V ~ 50/60Hz).
Initial Radio Setup
Upon first power-up, the WFT-4 automatically starts the setup wizard. Follow the on-screen prompts to select your preferred language (default is English) and confirm the setup process. You can choose to update the time and date from network sources or set it manually.
The setup wizard guides you through:
- Language selection
- Time/Date format (12/24 hour)
- Automatic update settings (DAB, FM, Network, or No update)
- Time zone and Daylight Saving Time settings
- Network connection (Wi-Fi or Wired Ethernet)
4. Operating the Radio with the UNDOK App
The UNDOK app (available for Android and iOS) allows you to control your WFT-4 remotely. Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Download the app, connect to your WFT-4, and use the app to browse sources, control playback, and configure settings.
5. Listening to Internet Radio
The WFT-4 can access thousands of internet radio stations. Connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Select the 'Internet radio' mode and browse stations by country, search by name, location, or choose from popular stations. You can save up to 5 stations as presets for quick access.
Customizing Your Preset List via Web Browser: You can manage your internet radio presets by accessing the radio’s web interface through its IP address. This allows for adding, editing, or deleting stations.
Displaying Internet Radio Information: Press the Info button to cycle through information such as artist, track name, station slogan, location, bitrate, and current date.
6. Listening to Podcasts
The WFT-4 can tune into various podcasts worldwide. Select the 'Podcasts' mode and browse or search for podcasts by country, popular topics, name, location, or discover them by genre and language. Similar to internet radio, podcasts can be saved as presets.
Podcast Menu: Similar to the internet radio menu, but with a 'Podcast list' option.
Displaying Podcast Information: Use the Info button to view track name, description, artist, album, bitrate, and date.
7. Listening to Streaming Services
The WFT-4 supports audio playback from Spotify, Amazon Music, and Deezer. Connect to these services using their respective apps or through the UNDOK app. For Spotify, use the Spotify Connect feature for control via your phone, tablet, or computer.
8. Listening to DAB Radio
Select the DAB radio mode. The WFT-4 will perform a full scan for available DAB stations. Browse the list of found stations using the tuning knob. You can also perform manual tuning, prune invalid stations, and adjust Dynamic Range Control (DRC) settings.
DAB Menu Options: Station list, Scan, Manual tune, Prune invalid, DRC, Station order, System settings, Main menu.
Displaying DAB Radio Information: Press the Info button to view text, program type, multiplex name, signal strength, bitrate, and date.
9. Listening to FM Radio
Select the FM radio mode. Tune into stations by rotating the tuning knob or using the auto-seek function. The radio displays frequency, signal strength, and RDS information (if available).
FM Menu Options: Scan setting, Audio setting, System settings, Main menu.
Displaying FM Radio Information: Use the Info button to view text, program type, frequency, and date. The stereo indicator appears if a stereo broadcast is received.
Setting DAB and FM Presets: Save up to 5 stations per mode using the preset buttons (1-5) on the unit or 1-10 on the remote. Press and hold the desired preset button to save.
Recalling DAB and FM Presets: Briefly press the preset button to recall a saved station.
10. Listening to Bluetooth Audio
Pair your Bluetooth device with the WFT-4 to stream audio. Activate Bluetooth on your device and select 'WFT-4' from the list. You may need to enter '0000' as a PIN. Once paired, you can control playback using the radio's controls or your Bluetooth device.
Bluetooth Information: Press the Info button to view artist, album, and title.
Audio Playback: Use the radio's playback controls (Play/Pause, Next/Previous) or your Bluetooth device's controls.
Previously Paired Devices: The WFT-4 can remember up to 8 paired Bluetooth devices. It will attempt to reconnect to the last connected device automatically.
Bluetooth Menu: Access options like 'Forget devices', 'System settings', and 'Main menu'.
Disconnecting Bluetooth: Turn off Bluetooth on your device, switch to pairing mode, or select a different mode on the WFT-4.
11. Listening to Music via Aux Input
Connect external audio devices (like iPods or MP3 players) to the Aux In 1 or Aux In 2 ports. Select the corresponding Aux mode and control playback and volume from the external device.
12. Listening to Music via SPDIF Input
Connect external audio devices with SPDIF output to the Optical or Coaxial SPDIF inputs using an optical cable. Select the appropriate input mode and control playback from the external device.
13. Using the System Settings Menu
Access the System Settings menu to configure various aspects of the WFT-4:
- Backlight: Adjust timeout, on-level, and dim-level.
- Streaming audio quality: Configure audio quality for streaming.
- Network: Manage Wi-Fi connections, view profiles, and set network parameters.
- Time / Date: Manually set time and date, choose auto-update sources, set format, timezone, and Daylight Savings.
- Inactive Standby: Set the time before the radio automatically enters standby mode.
- Language: Select the menu language.
- Factory reset: Restore the radio to its default settings.
- Software update: Check for and install software updates.
- Setup wizard: Rerun the initial setup process.
- Info: View Spotify version, radio ID, and descriptive name.
Manually Setting Time and Date
If automatic time/date updates are not available, follow the steps in the System Settings menu to manually set the time and date, including day, month, year, hour, and minute.

Bluetooth Transmitter Pairing
To pair your Bluetooth device with the WFT-4's Bluetooth transmitter:
- Put your Bluetooth device in pairing mode.
- Access the Bluetooth transmitter menu on the WFT-4 (via the remote or main menu).
- Select 'Scan' to search for devices.
- Select your device from the list and choose 'Connect'.
- The blue LED indicator will flash during pairing and remain solid when connected.
Bluetooth Transmitter Menu Options: Enable/Disable, Audio output, Audio codec, Scan, Available devices, Current connected, Forget devices.
Setting the Sleep Timer
Use the Power/Sleep button or the 'Sleep' option in the main menu to set a sleep timer (15-60 minutes). The radio will automatically turn off after the set time. A sleep timer icon and remaining time will be displayed.
Setting Alarms
Set alarms using the Alarm button on the remote or the 'Alarms' option in the main menu. Configure alarm frequency (Off, Daily, Once, Weekends, Weekdays), time, mode, and preset source. Save the settings.
Setting Scheduled Playing
Use the 'Scheduled Playing' option to set the radio to turn on or off at specific times. Configure frequency, start time, end time, mode, and preset source.
15. Line Output / Optical and Coaxial SPDIF Output / Mute Function
Line Output
RCA line-out connectors allow connection to an external amplifier.
Optical and Coaxial SPDIF Output
Digital audio outputs (Toslink and RCA) for connecting to amplifiers or other digital audio equipment.
Mute Function
Press the Mute button to temporarily silence the audio. Press again to unmute.
