Thank you for purchasing the Sangean DDR-66BT radio. This user manual will guide you through setting up and operating your new radio.

Overview of the Main Unit and Remote Control
Main Unit Controls:
- 1, 2: Left and right speakers
- 3: LCD Display
- 4: CD eject button (Press to eject CD)
- 5: MEDIA button (Press repeatedly to switch between USB, SD, CD, or Bluetooth modes)
- 6: INFO/MENU button (Press to cycle through information; press and hold to open menu)

Getting Started
Finding a suitable location for the radio:
- Place on a flat, even surface.
- Avoid heat sources.
- Ensure sufficient space for ventilation.
- Place in an area with good Wi-Fi reception if using network features.
- Avoid appliances that interfere with Wi-Fi (e.g., microwaves).
Preparing the remote control:
Requires two AAA batteries. Open compartment, insert batteries according to polarity, close compartment.
Connecting to the mains power supply:
Use the supplied AC power cord. Ensure wall socket voltage is within the supported range (100-240V ~ 50/60 Hz). Connect cord to radio first, then to wall socket.
Performing the radio's initial setup:
Upon first power-up, the Setup Wizard guides you through:
- Privacy policy agreement.
- Network connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
- Time format (12/24 hour).
- Automatic time/date updates (DAB, FM, Network, or None).
- Network connection preference in standby mode.
- Wi-Fi network scanning and selection.
Turning the radio on / off:
Press the Power button. The radio defaults to the last used source.
Selecting a playback source:
Two methods:
- Using the Main menu: Press and hold INFO/MENU, select [Main menu], then select the desired source.
- Using MEDIA/RADIO buttons: Press MEDIA to cycle through CD, USB, SD, Bluetooth. Press RADIO to cycle through Internet Radio, Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, DAB, FM, AUX.
Controlling the radio using the UNDOK app
The UNDOK app allows control and configuration of the DDR-66BT from a smart device (Android/iOS).
Using the UNDOK app to control the radio:
- Download and install the UNDOK app.
- Ensure radio and smart device are on the same network.
- Open the UNDOK app and connect to your DDR-66BT.
- Use the "Source" tab to select playback source.
- Use the "Browse" tab to explore content.
- Control playback, tuning, and volume via the app.
Configuring the radio's settings using the UNDOK app:
After connecting to the radio via the app, tap the three dots icon, select "Settings" to access and modify various radio settings like language, sleep timer, equalizer, date/time, etc.
Listening to Internet radio
The DDR-66BT can receive thousands of internet stations.
To listen to Internet radio:
- Turn on the radio and select Internet radio mode.
- Tune into a station by selecting from options like [Your country], [Search], [Location], [Popular], or [Discover].
- Press PLAY/▶|| to pause/resume playback.
The Internet radio menu:
Access by pressing and holding INFO/MENU. Options include [Last listened], [Station list], [System settings], and [Main menu].
Storing and recalling Internet radio presets:
Up to 10 stations can be stored. Press and hold SELECT/■ to save, then use V/◀ or ▶/▲ and SELECT/■ to select the preset number. Recall by pressing SELECT/■ and choosing the preset number.
Showing Internet radio information:
Repeatedly press INFO/MENU to cycle through Artist & track name, Slogan, Language & Location, Bit rate, Playback buffer, and Today's date.
Listening to Podcasts
The DDR-66BT can tune into many podcasts worldwide.
To listen to Podcasts:
- Turn on the radio and select Podcasts mode.
- Tune into a podcast using options like [Your country], [A hot topic], [Search], [Location], or [Discover].
- Press PLAY/▶|| to pause/resume playback.
The Podcast menu:
Similar to the Internet radio menu, but includes [Podcast list] instead of [Station list].
Storing and recalling preset Podcasts:
Uses the same preset system as Internet radio stations.
Showing Podcast information:
Repeatedly press INFO/MENU to cycle through Track name, Track description, Artist, Album, Bit rate, Playback buffer, and Today's date.
Listening to streaming services
Listen to Spotify, Amazon Music, and Deezer (requires premium accounts).
Listening to Spotify:
Use your phone, tablet, or computer as a remote control via spotify.com/connect.
Listening to Amazon Music:
Select Amazon Music mode, then use the UNDOK app to connect and log in. Control playback via the app or radio.
Listening to Deezer:
Select Deezer mode, log in with username/password, and control playback via the radio's menu and buttons.
Listening to DAB radio
Tuning into DAB stations:
- Turn on the radio and select DAB radio mode.
- A full scan is performed automatically on first use.
- Use V/◀ or ▶/▲ to scroll through found stations and SELECT/■ to tune in.
Note: Ensure the DAB/FM antenna is extended for good reception.
The DAB radio menu:
Access by pressing and holding INFO/MENU. Options include [Station list], [Scan], [Manual tune], [Prune invalid], [DRC] (Dynamic Range Control), [Station order], [System settings], and [Main menu].
Showing DAB information:
Repeatedly press INFO/MENU to cycle through Text, Program type, Multiplex name & Frequency, Signal error & Strength, Bit rate & Audio type, and Today's date.
Presetting stations in DAB and FM modes:
10 memory presets for DAB and FM. Tune to a station, press and hold SELECT/■ to save, then select preset number. Alternatively, use remote control preset buttons.
Listening to FM radio
Tuning into FM stations:
- Turn on the radio and select FM radio mode.
- Press and hold V/◀ or ▶/▲ to auto-tune to a station.
- Use V/◀ or ▶/▲ to fine-tune frequency in 0.05 MHz steps.
Note: Ensure the DAB/FM antenna is extended for good reception.
The FM radio menu:
Access by pressing and holding INFO/MENU. Options include [Scan setting], [Audio setting], [System settings], and [Main menu].
Showing FM information:
Repeatedly press INFO/MENU to cycle through Text message, Program type, Frequency, and Today's date (if RDS data is available).
Recalling a preset in DAB and FM modes:
Select DAB or FM mode, press SELECT/■ to display "Recall from Preset" menu, select preset number, and press SELECT/■. Alternatively, press the preset button on the remote.
Listening to Bluetooth audio
Pairing your Bluetooth device for the first time:
- Turn on the radio and select Bluetooth mode.
- Activate Bluetooth on your device.
- On your device, select "DDR-66BT" from the Bluetooth list (enter "0000" if prompted for passcode).
- Once paired, music can be played from your device through the radio's speakers.
Notes: NFC pairing is available. Range is approx. 10 meters. Performance may vary by device.
Audio playback in the Bluetooth mode:
Playback status ("Playing") shown on display. Volume adjustable via radio or device. Playback controlled by PLAY/▶||, V/◀, ▶/▲ buttons.
Audio playback from a previously-paired Bluetooth device:
The DDR-66BT can memorize up to 8 devices. It will attempt to reconnect to the last paired device.
The Bluetooth menu:
Access by pressing and holding INFO/MENU. Options include [Connect device], [Forget devices], [System settings], and [Main menu].
Disconnecting your Bluetooth device:
Turn off Bluetooth on the device, or use the radio's [Connect device] option in the Bluetooth menu, or switch to another mode.
Showing Bluetooth information:
Repeatedly press INFO/MENU to cycle through Album, Artist, and Title.
Listening to audio from CD
The DDR-66BT plays CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, and CDs with MP3/WMA files (excluding DRM-protected files).
Audio playback in the CD mode:
- Turn on the radio and select CD mode.
- Insert a CD (label side up). Display shows "Reading".
- Press PLAY/▶|| to start/pause playback.
- Use V/◀ for previous track/rewind, ▶/▲ for next track/fast forward.
- Press SELECT/■ to stop playback.
Showing CD information:
Repeatedly press INFO/MENU to cycle through Progress, File name, Album, Artist, and Title.
Listening to audio from or recording audio to a USB device or SD card
Plays MP3 and WMA files (excluding DRM-protected files).
Playing files from a USB device or SD card:
- Turn on the radio and select USB or SD mode.
- Insert USB device or SD card. Display shows "Reading".
- Playback starts automatically with the first track.
- Use PLAY/▶|| to pause/resume.
- Use V/◀ for previous track/rewind, ▶/▲ for next track/fast forward.
- Press SELECT/■ to stop playback.
Recording audio to a USB device or SD card:
- Turn on the radio, select desired mode, and play audio.
- Press the RECORD button to start recording.
- Press RECORD again to stop. Recordings are saved as MP3 files in a "REC" folder.
Showing track information:
Repeatedly press INFO/MENU to cycle through Filename, Album, Artist, and Title.
Listening to audio using the Aux in socket
Connect an external device (e.g., iPod, MP3 player) using a 3.5mm audio cable. Select AUX in mode. Playback is controlled on the external device; volume on radio or external device.
Using the System settings menu
Access by pressing and holding INFO/MENU, then selecting [System settings].
System settings options:
- [Backlight]: Adjust brightness (Normal/Standby).
- [Equaliser]: Configure EQ modes, including manual bass/treble.
- [Loudness]: Enable/disable loudness feature.
- [Streaming audio quality]: Set quality for streaming.
- [Network]: Configure network connection, profiles, PBC setup.
- [Time / Date]: Set time/date manually, select auto-update source, set format.
- [Inactive Standby]: Set auto-standby time.
- [Language]: Select menu language.
- [Rec. default dest.]: Set default recording destination (USB/SD).
- [Factory reset]: Reset radio to default settings.
- [Software update]: Check for software updates.
- [Setup wizard]: Rerun setup wizard.
- [Info]: View Spotify version, Radio ID, Friendly Name.
- [Privacy policy]: Display privacy policy link.
Manually setting the time and date:
Navigate to System settings > [Time / Date]. Select [Set Time / Date] and use V/◀, ▶/▲, and SELECT/■ to set day, month, year, hour, and minute.
Setting the alarms
Press ALARM button or select [Alarms] from Main menu.
Alarm configuration options:
- [Enable]: Set frequency (Off, Daily, Once, Weekends, Weekdays).
- [Time]: Set alarm time.
- [Mode]: Set alarm source mode (e.g., Internet radio).
- [Preset]: Select a preset or last listened station as source.
- [Volume]: Set alarm volume.
- [Save]: Save alarm settings.
Notes: Press Power to turn off alarm. Press other buttons (except Volume) to snooze. Alarms stop after 60 minutes. Alarms can be enabled/disabled via ALARM button in standby.
Setting the sleep timer
Automatically turns off the radio after a preset time (15-120 minutes).
Set by pressing and holding Power/Sleep button and using V/◀ or ▶/▲, or via [Sleep] option in Main menu.
An active sleep timer is indicated by an icon. To cancel, press Power button or select "Sleep OFF" in the menu.
