Hoover ULTRA COMPACT X3 Vacuum Cleaner

1. Device Description

2. Vacuum Cleaner Preparation

Remove all product parts from the packaging and assemble the device.

Step 1: Insert the tube into the floor nozzle.

A wall mount is provided for optional storage. You can attach the wall mount to a suitable wall using the supplied screws and dowels.

3. Charging the Battery

The battery in your device is not fully charged. Charge your device completely before first use. This takes approximately 4 hours.

You can charge your device in three different states, with the battery status shown on the LED display:

  1. With the product fully assembled in standard mode or on the wall mount.
  2. With the device in handheld mode.
  3. With the battery removed from the device.

During use, the battery charge level is displayed in real-time on the battery status LED on the main unit.

When the remaining operating time is running out, the LED indicator symbols will start flashing white. It is recommended to switch off the device and recharge the battery.

LED display shows battery status: less than 33%, less than 66%, less than 99%, and 100%.

4. Using the Device

There are 3 different operating modes for your vacuum cleaner:

  1. Standard Mode.
  2. Hard Floor Mode.
  3. Handheld Mode.

4.1 Standard Mode

To use your device in Standard Mode: Press the On/Off button to start cleaning. Standard Mode is the default setting. Press the power button to switch the operating mode between Turbo/ECO/Standard.

NOTE: The LED lights on the floor nozzle light up continuously, and the brush roller rotates constantly.

If you want a more thorough cleaning in Standard Mode, press the power button once to activate TURBO mode. The mode symbol will light up white on the LED display to confirm your selection. Please note that this will reduce battery life.

If you want a lighter cleaning in Standard Mode, press the power button twice to activate ECO mode. The power button will light up green to confirm your selection.

Press the power button again to return to Standard Mode. The mode symbol will turn off to confirm your selection.

4.2 Handheld Mode

Using your device in Hard Floor Mode:

  1. Release the nozzle from the tube by pressing the nozzle release button.
  2. Attach the desired accessory to the end of the tube. All available accessories fit the end of the tube.
  3. Press the On/Off button to start cleaning.

Using your device as a handheld unit:

  1. Separate the tube from the main unit by pressing the tube release button.
  2. Attach the desired accessory to the end of the handheld unit. All available accessories fit the end of the handheld unit. You can also use the integrated crevice tool.
  3. Press the On/Off button to start cleaning.

Settings: Press the On/Off button to start cleaning. The default setting is STANDARD mode. Press the power button to switch the operating mode between Turbo/ECO/Standard.

If you want a more thorough cleaning, press the power button once to activate TURBO mode. The mode symbol will light up white on the LED display to confirm your selection. Please note that this will reduce battery life.

If you want a lighter cleaning, press the power button twice to activate ECO mode. The power button will light up green to confirm your selection.

5. Device Maintenance

5.1 ULTRACOMPACT X3: Dust Compaction Function

You can compact the dust in the dust container to increase the dust container's capacity. Move the slider up and then down to perform the dust compaction function.

5.2 Emptying the Dust Container

When the dirt in your dust container reaches the maximum fill level, empty the container.

  1. Switch off your device.
  2. Press the tube release button to detach the tube from the main unit.
  3. Hold the main unit over a waste bin and press the dust container emptying button to open the lid and deposit the dirt into the waste bin.
  4. Hold the ULTRA COMPACT X3 dust container slider and move it up and down to remove any remaining dirt.
  5. Close the container lid.
  6. Ensure the ULTRA COMPACT X3 dust container slider is back in its original position.

5.3 Cleaning the Filter and Container

IMPORTANT: For optimal performance, we recommend washing the filters after every 5 container empties.

  1. Ensure the device is switched off.
  2. Hold the ULTRA COMPACT X3 dust container slider firmly and pull it upwards.
  3. Press the dust container release button to open the container lid.
  4. Turn the filter counter-clockwise.
  5. Remove the filter from the main unit.
  6. NOTE: Remove any excess debris from the filter.
  7. Move the release lever for removing the dust container downwards to release the container.
  8. Remove the container from the main unit by sliding it downwards.
  9. Check the main unit for any remaining dust or dirt.
  10. Wash the filter and the container with lukewarm water.
  11. Allow them to dry for 24 hours before reinstalling them in your device.
  12. Reattach the container to the main unit.
  13. Secure the container by sliding it upwards onto the main unit until you hear a "click" sound.
  14. Reinsert the filter and turn it clockwise until you hear a "click" sound.
  15. Close the container lid.
  16. Hold the ULTRA COMPACT X3 dust container slider firmly and move it downwards to its original position.

5.4 Cleaning the Floor Nozzle

Thanks to ANTI-TWIST, your Hoover vacuum cleaner has an integrated comb that drastically reduces hair winding around the brush roller. However, if your vacuum cleaner is not sucking efficiently, the brush roller may need cleaning.

  1. Ensure the device is switched off.
  2. Slide the brush roller release lever and turn the brush roller snap fastener.
  3. Remove the brush roller from the floor nozzle.
  4. Remove any excess debris from the brush roller. Check the inside of the floor nozzle for larger debris and remove it.
  5. Wash the brush roller with lukewarm water.
  6. Allow it to dry for 24 hours.
  7. Reinsert the brush roller into the floor nozzle.
  8. Turn the brush roller snap fastener into the correct position to lock it.

5.5 Cleaning the Mini Turbo Nozzle

  1. Ensure the device is switched off.
  2. Remove the mini turbo nozzle from your device.
  3. To remove the brush roller, unlock the snap fastener with a coin.
  4. Use scissors to remove any tangled fibers or debris from the brush roller.
  5. Look inside the floor nozzle and remove any debris.
  6. Reattach the brush roller, press the snap fastener, and lock it with a coin.

5.6 Blockages

If your device is still functioning but suction is low or non-existent, there may be a blockage. A solid red light may appear on the battery status LED bar.

Follow all maintenance instructions in sections 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5. The following additional areas of your device should also be checked for dirt or blockages:

  1. Ensure the device is switched off.
  2. Remove the floor nozzle, tube, and main unit as described in the previous instructions.
  3. Visually inspect the main unit inlets for dirt or blockages and clean them.
  4. Visually inspect the nozzle joint area for dirt or blockages and clean it.
  5. Remove the brush roller and check the nozzle inlet area for dirt or blockages and clean it.
  6. Check both ends of the tube and remove any dirt or blockages.
  7. Reassemble your device.
