General Safety Precautions

  • Use on a level, stable surface to prevent tipping, injury, or property damage.
  • Place the product away from curtains, hoisting strings, or other items that could get entangled, preventing damage.
  • Always grasp the power plug to unplug; do not pull the cord, as this can cause damage, fire, or electric shock.
  • Unplug the product when not in use for extended periods to prevent fire or electric shock due to reduced insulation.
  • This product has overload protection (fuse). If the fuse blows, unplug the product and replace it according to user servicing instructions. If the replacement fuse blows, the product may have a short circuit and should be discarded or returned for repair.
  • The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other) to reduce electric shock risk. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
  • Always grasp the plug to remove it from the receptacle; do not pull the cord.
  • Do not use if the power cord is bundled up, as this can cause fires. Always extend the cord fully before use.
  • Do not pull the power cord when carrying or storing the product; this can cause fire or electric shock.
  • Do not use the product with air flow pointed at a combustible appliance such as a heater, as this can cause incomplete combustion or scatter flames, leading to carbon monoxide poisoning and fire.
  • Do not operate while covered or blocked with cloth, paper, or plastic bags, etc.
  • Do not use in locations with high humidity levels such as bathrooms.
  • Do not get the unit wet, or put the unit in water. Getting the product wet can cause fire or electric shock.
  • Keep out of reach of children and infants.
  • Do not climb on or tip the product over; this may lead to injury or electric shock.
  • Do not drag the product when moving it, as this can damage carpets and floors.
  • Do not point air flow directly at your body, as it generates a very strong airflow.
  • Be especially mindful of children and elderly people; proximity to the product can be harmful.
  • Air blowing directly on plants may be harmful.
  • Do not operate without attaching the vane or the cover, as this can cause injury, electric shock, or fire.
  • Do not strike the unit forcefully, as this can cause malfunction, fire, or electric shock.

Abnormalities and Malfunctions

Stop use immediately, cut power, and unplug from the electric socket when abnormalities or malfunctions occur. Examples include:

  • Abnormal sounds or odors.
  • Power plug or power cord become abnormally hot.
  • Loss of power, etc., when power cord is moved.
  • The product periodically stops during operation.
  • Tingling sensation from electric current felt when the product is touched.
  • Contact IRIS USA, Inc. customer service at 1-800-320-4747 if these occur.

Fire Hazards

  • Do not spray with insecticides, hair sprays, or lubrication oils, etc.
  • Do not use near flammable substances (kerosene, gasoline, paint thinner, etc.), objects with flames (cigarettes, incense, etc.), or combustible materials.

Wet Hands Prohibited

  • Do not unplug power plug when hands are wet.

User Servicing Instructions (Fuse Replacement)

  • If the fan's fuse has blown, grasp the plug and remove it from the outlet. Do not pull the cord to unplug.
  • To open, slide the fuse cover towards the prongs of the plug.
  • Carefully remove the old fuse and snap the replacement fuse into place. Use only a fuse of the proper rating (2.5Amp, 125Volt) to reduce the risk of fire. Slide the fuse door back to close. Discard the blown fuse.
  • Do not replace the attachment plug if it is damaged; only the fuse should be replaced. Discard the product if the attached plug is damaged.
  • Contact IRIS USA, Inc. customer service at 1-800-320-4747 for more information.

Placement

General Guidelines

  • Place the product on a level floor or table free of any obstructions.
  • Place the product in locations where it will not come in contact with direct sunlight, or hot air from air conditioning or heating appliances. Such contact can cause the product to deform, change color, or malfunction.
  • Do not place the product near the radio or TV. The product may cause noise on radio and affect the TV signal.

Usage Scenarios

  • Use with Air Conditioner: A diagram shows the fan positioned in front of an air conditioning unit, with arrows illustrating the circulation of cool air to enhance cooling.
  • Use with a Heater: A diagram shows the fan directed towards a room corner (potentially near a heat source), with arrows indicating the circulation of warm air to heat the feet.
  • Circulation: A diagram shows the fan blowing air upwards towards the ceiling, with arrows illustrating how this reduces temperature variations in the room.
  • Ventilation: A diagram shows the fan placed near a window or door, with arrows indicating it draws outside air in and expels room air.
  • Two-room Circulation: A diagram shows the fan positioned in an open doorway, with arrows illustrating air circulation between two rooms.
  • Drying Laundry: A diagram shows the fan blowing air directly onto hanging laundry, with arrows indicating accelerated drying. A caution is noted about not placing it under dripping clothes, as water can cause electric shock or short-circuiting.
