Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information for operating your Sur la table Induction Rice Cooker with 360° Induction Cooking Technology (12 Cups capacity).
Control Panel Overview
The control panel features the following buttons and display:
- Display: Shows cooking time and status (e.g., < 88:88 >).
- Power Button: Turns the cooker on/off.
- Warm/Cancel Button: Enters Warm mode or cancels a current function.
- Function Buttons: White Rice, Brown Rice, Oatmeal, Quinoa, Multigrain, Steam, Soup, Stew, Slow Cook.
- Time Adjustment Buttons: Hour, Min.

Operation: Cooking Rice
Follow these steps to cook rice:
- Measure the desired amount of rice using the provided measuring cup. Do not overfill.
- Wash the rice in a drainer to remove excess starch.
- Place the washed rice into the inner pot.
- Add water according to the "Rice & Water Measurement Table" or the corresponding water line inside the pot for white rice.
- Close the lid securely.
- Plug the power cord into a 120V AC wall outlet.
- Press the Power button [power-symbol].
- Use the [arrow-left] or [arrow-right] buttons to select the desired function (e.g., White Rice, Multigrain).
- Press the "Start" button. The indicator light will illuminate, and the display will show a chasing pattern.
- The cooker counts down the final 12 minutes of cook time.
- Once the cycle is complete, the cooker beeps and automatically switches to Warm mode.
- To turn off, press Warm/Cancel, then the Start button, and unplug the power cord.
Note: Use the provided rice spatula or a non-metal utensil for serving to prevent scratching the nonstick inner pot.

Note: Cooking times are approximate and can be affected by altitude, humidity, and external temperature. When cooking brown rice or other grains, you must use the Multigrain function.

Note: Brown rice, wild rice, and other grains may vary and might require longer cooking times or additional water. Refer to individual package instructions.
Operation: Steaming Foods
Follow these steps to steam foods:
- Add 3 cups of water to the inner pot.
- Place the inner pot into the rice cooker.
- Place food in the steam tray, then place the tray into the rice cooker and close the lid securely.
- Plug the power cord into a 120V AC wall outlet.
- Press the Power button [power-symbol].
- Use the [arrow-left] or [arrow-right] buttons to select "Steam", then press "Start". The cooker defaults to 5 minutes.
- To set a custom steam time (up to 30 minutes), press the "Min" button to increase time by 1 minute. Press "Start" to begin.
- Carefully remove the lid and check food for doneness.
- Remove steamed food immediately once cooked to prevent overcooking. Use a heat-resistant glove as the steam tray will be hot.
- Turn off the cooker by pressing Warm/Cancel, then the Power button, and unplug the cord.
Notes:
- Food should not be left in Warm mode for more than 12 hours.
- For best results, steam food towards the end of the rice cooking cycle so both are ready simultaneously.
- Do not cook more than 4 cups (uncooked) of rice if steaming and cooking rice simultaneously.
