Intended Use

  • This device is a spotlight for creating decorative lighting effects, designed for professional use in event technology (e.g., on stage). It is not suitable for household lighting.
  • Use the device only according to the instructions. Failure to follow these instructions voids the warranty. No liability is assumed for resulting damage.
  • No liability is assumed for material and personal damage caused by improper use or non-compliance with safety instructions.
  • Unauthorized modifications are not permitted for safety reasons and void the warranty.

Danger due to Electricity

  • The product is supplied with dangerous mains voltage. Never open the device; there are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Connect only to a properly installed mains outlet protected by an RCD. Ensure voltage and frequency match the device's rating. Connect to a grounded outlet if the cable has an earth contact. Never deactivate the protective ground.
  • For outdoor use, use rubber cable H05RN-F or H05RR-F. For underground installations, use NYY cable. Adhere to all outdoor/ground cable installation regulations.
  • Ensure the mains outlet is easily accessible for quick unplugging.
  • Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
  • Do not bend or squeeze the mains cable. Keep it away from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
  • Always pull the plug, not the cable, to disconnect.
  • Unplug during lightning storms, long periods of non-use, or before cleaning.
  • Do not expose to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong vibrations, or heavy mechanical stress.
  • Do not immerse the product in water; this will destroy it and can cause electric shock.
  • Repairs must only be carried out by qualified personnel if the device or cable is visibly damaged, dropped, or malfunctions occur.

Danger to Children and People with Restricted Abilities

  • This product is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not leave packaging material carelessly. Never leave the device running unattended.
  • The device may only be used by persons with sufficient physical, sensory, and intellectual abilities and knowledge. Others may use it only if supervised or instructed by a responsible person.

  • Housing temperature (Tc) can reach up to 60°C during use. Avoid contact.
  • Maintain a minimum distance of 1m from illuminated surfaces.
  • Keep away from flammable materials. Ensure sufficient air circulation (50cm clearance). Do not cover air vents.

Warning - Risk of Injuries

  • Do not look directly at the light source (risk of epileptic seizures for sensitive individuals).
  • Ensure the product is installed safely and securely to prevent falling. Comply with relevant standards (e.g., EN 60598-2-17).
  • If unqualified, do not attempt installation; use a professional installer. Improper installation can cause injury or property damage.
  • Manufacturer is not liable for damages from incorrect installations or insufficient safety precautions.
  • For overhead use, always secure with a secondary attachment (safety bond/net).
  • Block the area below during installation, rigging, or servicing.
  • Comply with country-specific accident prevention regulations for commercial use.

Caution - Material Damage

  • Do not connect to mains voltage via a dimmer.
  • Lighting effects are not designed for permanent operation; use breaks to prolong service life.
  • Avoid frequent switching on/off, as this reduces service life.
  • If exposed to drastic temperature fluctuations, do not switch on immediately. Allow the device to reach room temperature to prevent condensation damage.
  • Use original packaging for transport/storage protection.
  • Do not remove the serial number label, as this voids the warranty.

About Batteries

  • Do not short-circuit, recharge, disassemble, or heat batteries (explosion risk!).
  • Remove batteries if the device is not used for a longer period.
  • Handle damaged/leaking batteries with suitable gloves to avoid skin irritation.

Description of the Device

The device features the following components:

  • 1. Infrared sensor for remote control: Receives signals from the IR remote.
  • 2. 3W UV LEDs: Nine high-power UV LEDs provide the lighting effect.
  • 3. Housing: The main body of the unit.
  • 4. Fixation screw: Used for adjusting the mounting bracket angle.
  • 5. DMX input: 3-pin XLR male connector for receiving DMX signals.
  • 6. Pressure compensation plug: Helps equalize pressure, often for weatherproofing.
  • 7. Safety rope eyelet: Attachment point for a secondary safety cable.
  • 8. LCD display with operating buttons: For viewing settings and controlling the device.
  • 9. DMX output: 3-pin XLR female connector for daisy-chaining to other DMX devices.
  • 10. Power input: IP T-Con connector for power supply.
  • 11. Power output: IP T-Con connector for powering other devices (power linking).
  • 12. Mounting/stand bracket: Allows for hanging or floor standing.

Installation

WARNING! Risk of injury caused by falling objects. Ensure secure installation by a specialist.

The device can be placed on the floor by unfolding the brackets or fastened to a truss or similar rigging structure. It must never be fixed swinging freely.

  1. The rigging structure must support at least 10 times the weight of all fixtures.
  2. Block access below the work area and work from a stable platform.
  3. Use compatible rigging hardware. Refer to the "Accessories" section for suitable options.
  4. Secure the device with a safety rope or other secondary attachment. This must be adequately dimensioned and installed to prevent parts from falling if the main attachment fails. Fasten the safety rope so the maximum drop distance does not exceed 20 cm.
  5. To align the device, release the fixation screws on the mounting bracket, adjust the desired inclination angle, and tighten the screws.
  6. Periodically inspect the device after installation to prevent corrosion, deformation, or looseness.

DMX512 Control

A DMX512 data link is required for DMX control. The device uses 3-pin XLR connectors.

Connection:

  1. Connect your DMX controller's output to the device's DMX IN using a DMX cable.
  2. Connect the DMX OUT of one unit to the DMX IN of the next unit in the chain.
  3. At the last unit, terminate the DMX cable with a 120 Ω resistor between Signal (-) and Signal (+).
  4. For cable lengths over 300m or more than 32 devices, a DMX signal amplifier is recommended.

XLR Pinout:

  • DMX Output (Socket): 1: Ground, 2: Signal (-), 3: Signal (+)
  • DMX Input (Plug): 1: Ground, 2: Signal (-), 3: Signal (+)

Setup:

  • Select DMX mode via the menu.
  • Choose the number of DMX channels (1, 2, or 4 CH).
  • Set the DMX start address (ADDR:***).
  • If no DMX signal is received, the display will flash.

Ensure that control channels do not overlap with other devices for independent operation. Devices addressed similarly will work synchronously.
