Setup
There are six steps to the setup process.
- Install batteries in the remote control unit
- Connect the speakers to the amplifier
- Connect the CD player to the amplifier
- Plug the power cord into a power outlet
- Turn the amplifier's power on
- Begin playback
Step 1: Install batteries in the remote control unit
Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control unit. Insert two R03/AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
Diagram shows a remote control with its battery cover open, illustrating the placement of two R03/AAA batteries with correct polarity markings.
Step 2: Connect the speakers to the amplifier
Connect your speakers to the SPEAKER terminals (A and/or B) on the rear of the amplifier using speaker cables. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
Connecting the speaker cables:
- Peel off about 10 mm of sheathing from the tip of the speaker cable. Twist the core wire tightly or apply solder to it.
- Turn the speaker terminal counterclockwise to loosen it.
- Insert the speaker cable's core wire all the way into the speaker terminal.
- Turn the speaker terminal clockwise to tighten it.
Diagrams show the rear panel of the amplifier with speaker terminals and connection points, and detailed steps for preparing and connecting speaker wires. Speaker impedance ratings are: A: 4-16Ω, B: 4-16Ω, A+B: 8-16Ω.
Step 3: Connect the CD player to the amplifier
Connect the CD player's audio output (usually RCA jacks labeled AUDIO OUT) to the CD input on the amplifier using RCA audio cables.
Diagram shows an RCA cable connecting the 'AUDIO OUT' (Red and White) of a CD player to the 'CD' input (Red and White) on the amplifier.
Step 4: Plug the power cord into a power outlet
Connect the supplied power cord to the AC IN socket on the rear of the amplifier and then plug it into a household power outlet (AC 230 V, 50/60 Hz).
Diagram shows the power cord being plugged into the amplifier's AC IN socket and then into a wall power outlet.
Step 5: Turn the amplifier's power on
- Reduce the volume to the minimum level using the VOLUME knob.
- Press the power operation button on the front panel.
Diagrams show the front panel of the amplifier, highlighting the VOLUME knob (labeled MIN to MAX) and the power button.
Step 6: Begin playback
- Set the input source to "CD" using the INPUT SELECTOR knob or the remote control.
- Play the CD player.
- Adjust the volume to your desired listening level.
Diagrams show the input selector being set to CD, a CD player playing music, and the volume knob being adjusted.
