Setup

1. Connect the speakers to MODEL 50

Connect your speaker cables between the MODEL 50 and your speakers. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) for both the amplifier and speaker terminals.

2. Connect your source device

Connect your source device's audio output to the MODEL 50's AUDIO IN jacks using appropriate cables (e.g., RCA cables). Ensure correct left (L) and right (R) channel connections.

3. Connect to power

Connect the supplied power cord to the AC IN socket on the MODEL 50 and then to a wall outlet.

4. Install batteries in the remote control

Open the battery compartment on the remote control, insert two R03/AAA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-), and close the compartment securely. Batteries can be taken out in reversed order.

Begin Source Playback

  1. Press the power operation button on the front panel or remote control.
  2. Set the input source to your desired source device (e.g., CD player, Network audio player, Turntable, Tuner) using the INPUT or SOURCE selector.
  3. Ensure your source device is powered on and playing content.
  4. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME control.

Installation Precautions

Ensure adequate ventilation: 0.3 m (approx. 1 ft) clearance for the amplifier, 0.1 m (approx. 4 inches) for other units.

Limited 5-Year Warranty (United States and Canada)

Marantz warrants the original purchaser that the Marantz MODEL 50 will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for five (5) years from the original retail purchase date from an authorized dealer.

What is Covered:

Parts and labor to correct defects in materials and workmanship during the warranty term.

What is NOT Covered:

  • Damage from accident, misuse, neglect, unauthorized modification, improper installation/maintenance.
  • Repairs by unauthorized personnel.
  • Damage during shipment (claims must be made with the carrier).
  • Cleaning, initial setup, installation/removal charges.
  • Products with defaced or removed serial numbers.
  • Accessories (batteries, cables, etc.).
  • Purchases from unauthorized dealers.

This warranty is in lieu of all other expressed warranties. Marantz shall not be liable for consequential or incidental damages.
