Thank you for choosing a Marantz amplifier. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up your amplifier.

Setup
There are six steps to the setup process.
- Install batteries in the remote control unit
- Connect the speakers to the amplifier
- Connect the CD player to the amplifier
- Plug the power cord into a power outlet
- Turn the amplifier's power on
- Begin playback
Step 1: Install batteries in the remote control unit
Instructions:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the remote control unit.
- Insert two R03/AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).

Step 2: Connect the speakers to the amplifier
Instructions:
- Peel off about 10 mm of sheathing from the tip of the speaker cable.
- Either twist the core wire tightly or apply solder to it.
- Turn the speaker terminal counterclockwise to loosen it.
- Insert the speaker cable's core wire all the way into the speaker terminal.
- Turn the speaker terminal clockwise to tighten it.

Step 3: Connect the CD player to the amplifier
Instructions:
- Connect the "AUDIO OUT" terminals (L and R) of your CD player to the "AUDIO IN" terminals labeled "CD" on the amplifier using appropriate audio cables.

Step 4: Plug the power cord into a power outlet
Instructions:
- Connect the supplied power cord to the "AC IN" socket on the rear of the amplifier.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a household power outlet (AC 230 V, 50/60 Hz).

Step 5: Turn the amplifier's power on
Instructions:
- Reduce the volume to the minimum level using the VOLUME knob.
- Press the power operation button.

Step 6: Begin playback
Instructions:
- Set the input source to "CD" using the INPUT SELECTOR knob.
- Play the CD player.
- Adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob.
