Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To minimize the risk of injury, we urge clients to take basic safety precautions when using this device. Please read the operation instructions carefully and ensure you have understood their content. Keep these operation instructions safe.
Safety Instructions ?
- No persons or loads may be lifted over persons. The winch is intended only for pulling loads horizontally, not for lifting or suspending loads.
- Do not overload the winch. For loads over 450 kg, use of pulleys and double cables is recommended.
- Do not use the winch with a heavy load for a long period, as this may damage the winch. If the motor becomes very hot, switch off the winch to allow it to cool down.
- Do not use the winch for more than 1 minute at a time with or just below the rated load.
- Ensure there are at least 5 windings of cable on the drum. Otherwise, the cable may come off the drum under load, causing damage and/or injury.
- Loads should not be pulled at an angle, as the cable will wind up at one end of the drum, potentially jamming the cable and/or winch.
- The winch reaches maximum pulling force with an input voltage of 12 V DC. Pulling force is greatest when the cable rests directly on the drum (almost completely unwound).
- Never hook the hook directly onto the cable; use a nylon loop.
- Do not use the winch if it is not securely attached to the vehicle or another anchorage point.
- When pulling a load, wind the cable slowly and taut. Stop the winch periodically to check all cable connections and ensure the hook is properly attached.
- If a nylon loop is used, check that the load is well secured.
- A heavy blanket, jacket, or similar can be placed over the cable near the hook when pulling a heavy load. This reduces the risk of the cable end whipping away if the cable breaks.
- Do not pull the load with the vehicle itself, as this can overload the cable and damage the cable or winch.
- Keep hands and other body parts away from the drum and cable when winching. Maintain a safety distance of at least 1.5 meters.
- Make sure that no one is near or in line with the cable when it is loaded.
- Before using the winch, apply the vehicle's parking brake, secure the wheels with a wedge, start the engine, put it in neutral gear, and let it idle. This prevents the vehicle battery from discharging and ensures the vehicle can be started later.
- Never loosen the cable when it is under tension.
- Take the load off the cable after winching; the cable should not remain under load.
- Always maintain a safe distance from the cable, hook, and winch.
- Regularly check the cable and equipment for proper condition.
- The cable must be replaced immediately if any wires are broken. Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- Wear heavy-duty protective gloves when using the cable. Never let the cable slip through your hands.
- Keep your hands away from the winch, cable, and hook during use. Do not put hands or fingers in the hook - risk of serious injury!
- Use the safety line to control the cable.
- After use, ensure the cable is properly wound onto the drum.
- Never use the winch when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medicine.
- Exercise caution when using the winch.
- Wear appropriate protective clothing (e.g., ear protection, safety goggles).
- Do not machine or weld the parts of the winch, as this may weaken the winch and result in damage and/or injuries.

Mounting
The winch must be mounted correctly for it to function properly.
- Mount the winch using the provided M8 × 30 bolts, lock washers, and washers, or other suitable fasteners.
Warning! When mounting the winch, care must be taken to ensure the correct winding direction. Incorrect assembly can lead to serious injuries.
- Run two wires from the remote control to the motor and two from the motor to the battery. Connect the red wire to the positive terminal of the battery and the black wire to the negative terminal of the battery. Connect the other two wires to the terminals of the winch motor.
- Check the direction of rotation of the drum. Move the release switch to the unlocked position so that the drum can rotate freely.
- Pull the cable out of the drum and reset the release switch so that the gears of the cable drum engage with the gearbox again.
- Press the “CABLE IN” button on the remote control.
- The direction of rotation of the drum is correct when the cable is wound up. If the cable is to be unwound, swap the two conductors on the winch motor. Then check the direction of rotation again.
Operation
- The unit is equipped with a permanent magnet motor and is intended for hobby use.
- The unit is not intended for commercial or industrial use.
- The unit must not be used for lifting or suspending loads.
- The hitch is controlled by a knob.
- When unlocked, the rope can be pulled out manually without power.
- A guide plate reduces the risk of kickback and tangling of the rope when pulling it out.
Using the Winch
- Unlock the drum by pulling out and turning the release switch.
- Pull out the hook and the rope by pulling on the safety rope. Attach the rope to the load to be pulled.
Warning! Check that there are at least 5 coils of rope on the drum.
- Reset the release switch so that the sprockets of the drum engage the gear again.
Warning! The clutch must be engaged when starting to winch. Do not engage the clutch while the drum is rotating. The clutch switch is set at the factory and secured with screw lock. The switch must not be changed.
- Press the “CABLE IN” button on the remote control to wind up the cable.
- Press the “CABLE OUT” button to unwind the cable. The motor must stop before changing direction.
- After use, wind up the cable.
Maintenance
- Regularly check that screw and power connections are properly tightened. Tighten if necessary. Remove dirt, corrosion, etc. from power connections.
- The unit must not be opened. Repairs must be carried out by qualified personnel.
- The gearbox is permanently lubricated at the factory with heavy-duty grease.
- No parts inside need to be lubricated.
Replacing the Cable
- Set the release switch so that the gear wheels of the rope drum engage in the gear.
- Thread the rope into the cable holder. Tighten the screw again.
- Switch on the unit to wind the cable onto the drum.
- Caution! Only cables recommended by the manufacturer may be used.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Suggested Solution |
---|---|---|
Motor does not run or only runs in one direction. | Inoperable remote control Cable break or faulty connection | Replace remote control. Check connections and clean them if necessary. |
Motor runs, yet drum does not rotate. | Defective motor Disengaged position | Repair or replace motor. Lock position. |
Motor runs, yet only weakly, or drum turns slowly. | Low battery | Charge or replace the battery. Remove possible corrosion from battery terminals. Check connections and clean them if necessary. |
Motor is overheated | Defective motor Winch been run for too long | Repair or replace engine. Allow engine to cool down. |
