XPOtool Folding Access Ramps
Model: 63875
Introduction
Thank you for choosing this quality product. To minimize the risk of injury, please follow basic safety measures when using this device. Read this instruction manual carefully and ensure you understand it. Keep this manual for future reference.
Safety Instructions
- The ramps are designed for loading and unloading ATVs, motorcycles, and lawnmowers. They are not designed to support the weight of a vehicle when the ramps are extended.
- Drive vehicles onto the ramps only when they are folded.
- Do not exceed the nominal load capacity of the ramps. As a ramp for vehicles (folded), the maximum weight capacity is 800 kg per ramp. As a ramp for ATVs (extended), the maximum load capacity is 340 kg per ramp.
- Keep fingers away from folding parts when opening or closing. Risk of injury!
- The owner and/or operator must read, understand, and follow all warnings, precautions, and instructions before using the product.
- Read, understand, and follow all instructions before using this device. Do not use the ramps without first reading and understanding all instructions, precautions, and warnings. Failure to comply may result in material damage and/or injury.
- Use the device only on a hard, level surface for loading and unloading.
- Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of your vehicle's tailgate. Check your vehicle's instruction manual for this information.
- Keep all extremities (hands, feet, etc.) away from the ramps. Do not put hands or climb under the ramps.
- Any ramp that appears damaged, worn, or not functioning correctly should be immediately taken out of service until repaired. Repairs should be performed by qualified personnel.
- If ramps have been subjected to unusual loads or vibrations, they must be immediately removed from service until a thorough inspection is completed.
- Do not place any tools or other equipment under the ramps.
- These ramps should only be used with the flange facing down (see installation instructions). Using the ramp in the opposite direction, with the flange facing up (to use the sides as tire guides), significantly reduces the load capacity.
- These ramps are designed to rest against the top edge of the tailgate or trailer. If you do not use a load bed liner, these ramps may scratch the protective paint surface of your vehicle.
- Do not exceed a maximum height of 100 cm (40") when using the extended ramps. Using extended ramps at a height exceeding the recommended maximum may cause damage to the load and/or injury.
- Before using the ramps, ensure the truck or trailer is securely fastened and the brakes are engaged. Use wheel chocks to secure the tires. If the truck or trailer moves forward during loading or unloading, the ramps may slip off the vehicle, and the load may fall.
- Check that the angled part of the ramps rests completely on the rear of the truck or trailer. Use the ramps only on hard, level surfaces. Otherwise, a dangerous situation may occur, potentially causing material damage and/or injury. Avoid wet surfaces or surfaces with loose gravel, as they can be slippery.
- Secure the extended ramps to the truck with safety chains before loading.
- Do not drive over the ramps with the load when they are extended. The load must be moved manually up the extended ramps.
- Modifications to the product are not permitted due to potential hazards associated with such devices.
- Only use accessories and/or attachments supplied by the manufacturer. Failure to comply with these instructions/warnings may result in material damage and/or injury.
- Ensure the load remains centered on the ramp and use it only as a pair for loading or unloading a vehicle. Failure to comply with these instructions/warnings may result in material damage and/or injury.
- The ramps must not be used to support both ends or one side of a vehicle at the same time, e.g., with jack stands.
- The maximum permitted tire width is 9".
- Do not use any other lifting devices in conjunction with the ramps.
- Do not disassemble the brakes, engine, transmission parts, drivetrain, driveshaft, universal joints, or wheels while the vehicle is on the ramps.
- Ensure that the wheels of the vehicle being placed on the ramps are aligned straight ahead and remain centered on the ramps.
- A second person, not in the path of the vehicle, should observe and guide the driver when loading and unloading using the ramps.
- Drive slowly and carefully. Never accelerate or brake abruptly. Once the vehicle reaches the top of the ramp, apply the brakes only to prevent the vehicle from moving too far forward.
- Put the vehicle in neutral and firmly apply the parking brake. The vehicle should not move when the brakes are released. Shift into reverse or park and secure the wheels with chocks.
- Ensure both tires are correctly positioned on the access ramp.
- Sway the vehicle sideways and in the direction of travel to ensure the vehicle and ramps are stable, and check that you are not in a danger zone.
- Ensure the ramps have not been damaged or bent during loading.
