Instruction Manual
Pressure Switch
Model: 61589
An illustration shows a black pressure switch unit mounted on a compressor assembly. It features two pressure gauges, one larger with a dial and a smaller one, a red manual reset button on top, and various threaded connectors for air lines. The text '[information] Illustration similar, may vary depending on model' is displayed below the image.
Introduction
Thank you for choosing this quality product. To minimize the risk of injury, please take basic safety precautions when using this product. Read this operating manual carefully and keep these instructions in a safe place.
Safety Instructions
- This device is not intended for use by children or individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised by a responsible person. Children must not perform user maintenance and should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the device.
- Always check the device before use. Do not use if components are damaged or worn, and never disable safety devices.
- Ensure your working environment is secure, clean, and well-lit, as cluttered or dark environments increase accident risk.
- Be aware that extreme temperature changes can lead to deviations in shift points or complete failure of the pressure switch.
- Use the product only in its original condition and do not perform unauthorized modifications.
- Avoid additional mechanical stress from vibrations or surges.
- Always observe the specified pressure range and avoid excess pressure, as exceeding maximum pressure can negatively affect performance or damage the device.
- Never touch, lift, or move a compressor connected to the power supply by its cable. Ensure the connection socket is protected from water and moisture.
- Always disconnect electric devices from the power supply before maintenance and cleaning.
- No responsibility is accepted for damage caused by improper use or incorrect maintenance.
Intended Use
Pressure switches operate pumps, valves, or compressors by regulating pressure. When a set maximum pressure level is reached, the switch disrupts the control circuit to turn off the motor. If the pressure is too low, it activates the motor to build up additional pressure. This pressure switch is designed for mini compressors with electric motors up to 5.5 kW. Improper use or modification can damage the device and its surroundings, potentially leading to severe injuries for which the manufacturer cannot be held responsible.

Operation
- Read the manual and ensure the device is in pristine condition.
- Connect the pressure switch to the designated pressure port and the pressure relief valve to the pipe.
- Connect the cables according to the circuit diagram.
- Ensure the pressure switch is correctly earthed.
- To adjust the rated pressure, use the adjusting screw and a screwdriver. Ensure pressure is equal on both sides of the spring. Turn the screw clockwise to decrease pressure and counter-clockwise to increase it.
- Regularly check connections and remove any accumulations to ensure correct operation.
Circuit Diagram
The circuit diagram depicts the electrical connections for the pressure switch. It shows an 'Electrical power supply' input connected through a series of contacts and a switch mechanism. The diagram illustrates how the pressure switch controls the power flow to a component labeled 'D', which is typically a motor in such applications, enabling pressure regulation for a compressor.
Regulations for Waste Disposal
This product is subject to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive (2012/19/EU) of the EU, implemented in German law. Devices falling under this directive are marked with a symbol of a crossed-out wheeled rubbish bin, indicating they must not be disposed of with domestic waste.
WilTec Wildanger Technik GmbH is registered with the German registration authority EAR (Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register) under WEEE-registration number DE45283704.
The symbol on the packaging or product indicates it must be disposed of at a recycling collection station for electrical and electronic waste, not as normal domestic waste. Correct disposal protects the environment and health. Material recycling helps reduce raw material consumption.
For additional recycling information, contact your local commune, municipal waste disposal facilities, or the store where the product was purchased.
