This manual provides detailed installation instructions for the Cooler Master Hyper D92 CPU cooler on various Intel and AMD platforms.

General Preparation
Step 1: Prepare Cooler Assembly
The CPU cooler heatsink and fan assembly (A) is shown, ready for installation.
Step 2: Apply Thermal Paste
Carefully peel off the protective sticker from the base of the CPU cooler heatsink. Apply a small amount of thermal paste (F) to the center of the CPU's Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS).
Intel CPU Cooler Installation
LGA 1366/115x/775 Installation
Step 1: Attach Backplate (D)
Place the Intel backplate (D) onto the rear of the motherboard, aligning its holes with the CPU socket mounting points. Arrows indicate the correct orientation.
Step 2: Install Standoff Screws
For LGA 1366 and LGA 115x sockets, insert standoff screws (H) through the backplate (D) and into the motherboard. Place a washer (G) onto each screw before insertion. For LGA 775 sockets, use the specific standoff screws (J). Arrows indicate insertion direction.
Step 3: Mount Cooler and Secure
Align the cooler's mounting mechanism with the standoff screws (H or J) on the motherboard. Gently press down on the cooler. Rotate the standoff screws clockwise ↩️ to secure the cooler. Ensure even pressure.
LGA 2066/2011-v3/2011 Installation
Step 1: Attach Mounting Bracket (E) and Standoffs
Attach the Intel mounting bracket (E) to the motherboard. Insert standoff screws (I) through the bracket (E) and into the motherboard's LGA 2066/2011 socket mounting holes. Place a washer (G) onto each screw before insertion. Arrows indicate insertion direction.
Step 2: Mount Cooler and Secure
Align the cooler's mounting mechanism with the standoff screws (I) on the motherboard. Gently press down on the cooler. Rotate the standoff screws clockwise ↩️ to secure the cooler. Ensure even pressure.
AMD CPU Cooler Installation
AM4 Installation
Step 1: Attach Universal Bracket (B)
Attach the universal mounting bracket (B) to the motherboard's AMD AM4 socket mounting holes. Arrows indicate the correct orientation.
Step 2: Install Standoff Screws (K) and Nuts (L)
Insert standoff screws (K) through the mounting bracket (B) and into the motherboard. Place AMD mounting nuts (L) onto the screws from the rear of the motherboard. Arrows indicate insertion direction.
Step 3: Mount Cooler and Secure
Align the cooler's mounting mechanism with the standoff screws (K) on the motherboard. Gently press down on the cooler. Rotate the mounting nuts (L) clockwise ↩️ to secure the cooler. Ensure even pressure.
AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/FM2+/FM2/FM1 Installation
Step 1: Attach Mounting Bracket (C)
Attach the mounting bracket (C) to the motherboard's AMD socket mounting holes. Arrows indicate the correct orientation for AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/FMx sockets.
Step 2: Install Standoff Screws (K) and Nuts (M)
Insert standoff screws (K) through the mounting bracket (C) and into the motherboard. Place AMD mounting nuts (M) onto the screws from the rear of the motherboard. Arrows indicate insertion direction.
Step 3: Mount Cooler and Secure
Align the cooler's mounting mechanism with the standoff screws (K) on the motherboard. Gently press down on the cooler. Rotate the mounting nuts (M) clockwise ↩️ to secure the cooler. Ensure even pressure.
AMD Retention Clip Installation
For certain AMD sockets, use the AMD retention clips (N) to further secure the mounting brackets. Arrows indicate the direction of attachment.
Fan Attachment
Step 1: Attach Fans to Heatsink
Clip the fans (part A) onto the sides of the Hyper D92 heatsink. Ensure the fans are oriented to push air through the heatsink fins. Arrows indicate the direction of fan placement ➡️.
Cable Connection
Step 1: Connect Fan Cables
Connect the cables from the fans to the fan splitter cable (O). Then, connect the fan splitter cable (O) to the CPU fan header on the motherboard. Arrows indicate the correct connection points ➡️.
