02. Intel & AMD Compatibility
Component usage varies by CPU socket type:
- Intel LGA 1366/115X/775: Requires C, D, E, F, J, K, P, R
- Intel LGA 2066/2011/2011-v3: Requires I, J, K, P, R
- AMD: Requires C, D, E, G, J, K, Q, R
03. Intel - LGA 1366/115X/775 Installation
Follow these steps for Intel LGA 1366, 115X, and 775 sockets:
- Attach Intel mounting brackets (F) to the backplate (D) using Intel mounting screws (E).
- Place the backplate (D) onto the motherboard, aligning it with the CPU socket mounting holes.
- Secure the backplate with the provided standoffs (C).
- Attach the Intel mounting arms (P) to the motherboard using screws (R) and the wrench (J). Ensure correct orientation for the specific LGA type (775, 115x, 2066/2011-v3).
- Apply thermal paste (B) to the CPU's heat spreader.
- Carefully place the CPU cooler (A) onto the CPU, aligning the mounting arms with the cooler's brackets.
- Secure the cooler by tightening the screws on the mounting arms.
05. Intel LGA 2066/2011 v3/2011/1366/115X/775 Installation
Steps for installing on Intel sockets:
- Apply thermal paste (B) to the CPU.
- Mount the cooler (A) onto the CPU, securing it with the appropriate mounting hardware (P, R).
07. Intel - LGA 2066/2011-v3/2011 Installation
Detailed steps for Intel LGA 2066, 2011-v3, and 2011 sockets:
- Install the AMD standoffs (I) into the motherboard's CPU socket mounting holes.
- Attach the Intel mounting arms (P) to the motherboard using screws (R) and the wrench (J).
- Apply thermal paste (B) to the CPU.
- Mount the cooler (A) onto the CPU and secure it.
08. AMD - AM4/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/FM2+/FM2/FM1 Installation
Instructions for AMD sockets:
- Remove the stock AMD mounting bracket from the motherboard.
- Attach the AMD backplate (D) to the motherboard using standoffs (C).
- Attach the AMD mounting brackets (G) to the backplate (D) using screws (E).
- Attach the AMD mounting arms (Q) to the motherboard using screws (R) and the wrench (J). Ensure correct orientation for AM4 or other AM3/FM2/FM1 sockets.
- Apply thermal paste (B) to the CPU.
- Mount the cooler (A) onto the CPU and secure it.
09. AMD - AM4/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/FM2+/FM2/FM1 Installation
Further steps for AMD installations:
- Install the standoffs (C) into the motherboard's CPU socket mounting holes.
- Mount the cooler (A) onto the CPU and secure it.
10. AMD - AM4/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/FM2+/FM2/FM1 Installation
Additional steps for AMD installations:
- Apply thermal paste (B) to the CPU.
- Mount the cooler (A) onto the CPU, securing it with the appropriate mounting hardware (Q, R).
12. RGB Connection
Connect the RGB lighting as follows:
- 3-Pin Addressable RGB (Asus, Asrock & MSI): Connect the 4-pin RGB cable (M) to the 4-pin header on the RGB controller (L). Connect the 3-pin addressable RGB connector from the cooler to the appropriate header on the motherboard or the RGB controller.
- 3-Pin Addressable RGB (Gigabyte): Use the 4-pin to 5-pin adapter cable (N) if connecting to a Gigabyte motherboard with a 3-pin addressable RGB header.
- 3-Pin (Gigabyte): For standard 3-pin RGB headers, use the appropriate connection.
Connect the PSU power cable to the RGB controller (L).
13. Intel & AMD RGB Connection
Connect the fan cable (O) to the CPU fan header on the motherboard.
14. Final Check
Ensure all connections are secure and the cooler is firmly mounted.
