Parking Assistance System

Using the Parking Assistance System

The parking assistance system helps detect obstacles when maneuvering. Always exercise extreme caution when parking.

Important Notes:

System Operation:

  1. When reverse gear is engaged, the front and rear parking sensors automatically activate, and an indicator illuminates in the switch.
  2. To manually activate the front sensors, press the PDC button. A short audible signal confirms activation, and the indicator in the switch illuminates.
  3. To deactivate the system, press the button again; the indicator will turn off.

Sensor Range:

Front sensors remain active until the vehicle speed exceeds 16 km/h (10 mph). If the gear is shifted to Neutral (N) after Reverse (R), the front and rear sensors will remain active.

When an object is detected, the system emits an audible signal. The frequency of the signal increases as the vehicle approaches the object and becomes continuous when the distance is approximately 300 mm (12 inches).

Note: The parking assistance system provides audible warnings when approaching obstacles while moving forward or backward.

Towing

When a trailer is connected, the rear sensors are automatically deactivated.

Sensor Maintenance

Important:

Keep the sensors clean to ensure accuracy and proper function. [warning-symbol]
