HUANUO Gas Spring Dual and Single Monitor Mount
Trouble-shooting Manual
Version: V1.0
Case: Monitor/Arm falls down or drops or facing down
Diagram shows a monitor mount arm tilting downwards, with red boxes highlighting the affected arm sections.
Solution:
Step 1: Check and ensure your monitor is within the specified size and weight limits:
- Monitor Size: 13"-32" (for Models HNSSK2, HNDSK3, HNTSK1)
- Monitor Size: 13"-27" (for Models HNDSK4, HNSSK4)
- Weight Capacity: Up to 19.8 lbs (for Models HNSSK2, HNDSK3)
- Weight Capacity: Up to 14.3 lbs (for Models HNTSK1, HNDSK4, HNSSK4)
- VESA Mounting Pattern: 75x75 or 100x100
Step 2: Adjust the gas spring tension. Use the Allen Key to turn the screw on the arm counter-clockwise (+). Increase tension until the arm can hold the weight of your monitor. This adjustment applies to all HUANUO gas spring dual and single monitor mounts (HNSSK2, HNDSK3, HNTSK1, HNDSK4, HNSSK4). You may need to turn the screw multiple times (approximately 1 circle per 1 lb of weight) to achieve the desired tightness.
Case: Monitor/Arm pops up
Diagram shows a monitor mount arm tilting upwards, with red boxes highlighting the affected arm sections.
Solution: Use the Allen Key to adjust the screw on the arm. Turn the screw clockwise (-) to reduce the gas spring tension until the monitor stays at the desired position. This solution applies to all HUANUO gas spring dual and single monitor mounts (HNSSK2, HNDSK3, HNTSK1, HNDSK4, HNSSK4). You may need to turn the screw multiple times (approximately 1 circle per 1 lb of weight) to loosen the arm.
Case: Wire cover may be damaged after installation
This issue is noted for models HNSSK2, HNDSK3, HNTSK1. If the wire cover is damaged, please contact HUANUO customer support.
Diagram shows two types of wire covers on the monitor arm.
Solution Type 1 (for models HNSSK2, HNDSK3, HNTSK1):
Step 1: Gently open the four sides of the wire cover.
Step 2: Use a wire cover to hold the clip under the arm.
Diagram shows a hand gently pushing up on the wire cover.
Solution Type 2: Use the wire cover to fasten the clip under the arm and gently push it forward.
Diagram shows a wire cover being used to secure a clip under the arm.
Case: Stand is not high enough
Diagram illustrates height measurements for the monitor mount. The maximum height from the VESA center to the desktop is 19.6 inches, and the lowest height is 6.8 inches. This applies to models HNSSK2, HNDSK3, HNDSK4.
Case: For HNTSK1: The product is tilted
Diagram shows a monitor mount tilted, with the label "Stand tilt".
Solution:
- Ensure your desk is not made of Particleboard.
- Remove the monitor from the mount.
- Screw the desk clamp to the tightest position, then re-hang the monitor.
Diagram shows a desk clamp being tightened.
Case: VESA plates are not compatible
Case A: Your monitor VESA holes are over 100*100mm.
Case B: Your monitor VESA holes are over 100*100mm or has no VESA holes at all.
Diagram shows a 100x100mm VESA plate and a 75x75mm VESA plate.
Solution A: If your monitor VESA holes are no larger than 200*200mm, you can use a HUANUO VESA Adapter Extension Plate (search for "HNMUA2" on Amazon) to resolve this. Install the extension plate first.
Solution B: If your monitor size is between 13" and 32", you can use a HUANUO Adapter Kit (search for "HNMUA1" on Amazon) to solve this problem. Attach the adapter kit to your monitor.
