Product Description
This document provides the instruction manual for the Victrola V50-600 Seventeen Inch Retro Neon Wall Clock. It details assembly, operation, maintenance, safety precautions, specifications, and warranty information.
The clock features a retro neon design and is powered by a single AA battery for the clock mechanism and an AC/DC adapter for the neon light.
Assembly
Follow these steps for assembling and setting up your Victrola Retro Neon Wall Clock:
- Turn the clock over onto a soft cloth (or non-abrasive paper towel) with the back facing up.
- Insert one (1) AA battery (not included) into the battery compartment. Ensure correct polarity (+ and -) as marked inside the compartment. The negative side should be inserted first.
- Note: The clock mechanism operates solely on the AA battery. The power adapter is only for the neon light feature.
- Adjust the clock's time by turning the red adjustment knob located above the battery compartment.
- To activate the neon light, attach the provided power adapter to the back of the clock and plug it into a suitable power outlet. The neon lights will turn on automatically when the adapter is plugged in.
Back View Description: The back of the clock features a "HANGER" for wall mounting, a "BATTERY COMPARTMENT" for the AA battery, a "CLOCK ADJUSTMENT KNOB", and a "POWER ADAPTER INPUT" port.
Operation and Maintenance
Battery Replacement
When the clock stops or operates abnormally, replace the battery with a new one.
Battery Precautions:
- Ensure the battery is inserted with the correct positive (+) and negative (-) orientation.
- Always use batteries of the same type. Do not mix different battery types.
- If the clock will not be used for an extended period (more than a month), remove the battery to prevent potential leakage.
- Do not heat, disassemble, or dispose of batteries in fire.
Power Adapter
- Locate the adapter plug and connect it to the clock's power adapter input.
- Plug the adapter into an appropriate 120V outlet to power the neon light.
Note: The AA battery powers the clock mechanism independently from the power adapter, which powers the neon light.
Wall Mounting
- Insert a nail or hook into a solid surface (e.g., a wall) where the clock will be displayed. An optional screw and anchor are included for mounting.
- Ensure the hanging hardware is strong enough to support the clock's weight.
- Hang the clock on the nail or hook using the hanger hole located on the back of the clock.
- Route the power cord safely to the outlet, avoiding tripping hazards or potential damage to the cord.
Caution: Be mindful of hidden pipes or electrical wiring when drilling or nailing into walls.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Clean the chrome frame of the clock using a soft, non-abrasive cloth or paper towel.
- Clean the glass (which is clear plastic and prone to scratches) with a soft, non-abrasive cloth or paper towel.
WARNING: If the power cord for the adapter is damaged, it must be replaced with a new adapter of the correct output voltage.
