This instruction manual provides detailed information for operating the Victrola VSC-400SB The Journey+ turntable.

Turntable Operation
Power Supply
Connect the included AC/DC adaptor (5V/1A) to the DC IN jack on the rear of the unit and to a wall outlet.
Basic Operation
- Lift the buckle and open the lid.
- Turn the FUNCTION KNOB to PHONO. Turn the VOLUME CONTROL KNOB clockwise to power ON the unit (red LED will light).
- Place a record on the TURNTABLE PLATTER and select the speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) using the SPEED SELECTION SWITCH. Use the 45 RPM ADAPTOR for 45 RPM records.
- Open the TONE ARM CLIP. Push the LIFT LEVER back to raise the arm. Move the tone arm to the desired position over the record. The turntable spins when the arm moves toward the record. Push the lift lever forward and lower the arm onto the record to play. The record spins when the tone arm is over it if Auto Stop is ON.
- If the AUTO AND MANUAL STOP SELECTION SWITCH is ON, the record stops automatically. If OFF, it will not stop automatically.
- Adjust volume using the VOLUME CONTROL KNOB.
How to Replace the Turntable Needle

Removing the Stylus
- Insert a screwdriver at the tip of the stylus and push down [direction-A]. Warning: Applying excessive force may damage the stylus.
- Pull the stylus out [direction-B].
Installing the Stylus
- Hold the stylus tip and insert the other edge by pressing [direction-C].
- Push the stylus up [direction-D] until it locks.
Caution: Do not bend the stylus. Do not touch the needle. Turn off power before replacement. Keep out of reach of children.
Note: The stylus lasts about 50 hours. Replace when sound quality degrades.
Bluetooth Out Operation
Connect to external Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
- Power ON the unit.
- Turn FUNCTION KNOB to BT OUT (red LED flashes).
- Turn ON external Bluetooth receiver and set to pairing mode.
- Pairing complete: hear chime, red LED stops flashing (approx. 15-30 seconds).
- Connected to external Bluetooth device.
- Play vinyl record; sound outputs to external Bluetooth speaker. Volume adjusted on external device.
- Note: Keep Bluetooth device within 1m (3.3') for pairing. Pairing mode lasts 30 seconds. "BT OUT" only works with vinyl playback, not AUX or regular Bluetooth modes.
Bluetooth Operation
Connect an external device wirelessly using Bluetooth.
- Power ON the unit.
- Turn FUNCTION KNOB to BT (blue LED flashes).
- Turn ON external device's Bluetooth. Look for "Victrola Journey +".
- Select "Victrola Journey +" to connect. Blue LED stops flashing upon connection.
- Connected via Bluetooth.
- Adjust sound level with VOLUME CONTROL KNOB.
Aux-In Operation
Connect an external audio source (CD/MP3 player, phone, computer) via the LINE-IN JACK.
- Plug an Aux Cable (not provided) into the LINE-IN socket.
- Turn FUNCTION KNOB to LINE-IN (LED turns purple).
- Plug the other end of the Aux Cable into the external source's headphone or line out socket.
- Power ON the unit.
- Adjust sound level with VOLUME CONTROL KNOB.
Headphone Operation
Plug earphones into the headphone jack. Built-in speakers will mute.
Note: Unplug the turntable when not in use for best performance and maintenance.

Limited Warranty: 90 Days Labor, One Year Parts
Innovative Technology Electronics LLC. (IT) warrants the product against defects in materials under normal use for one year from the original purchase date. Within the first 90 days, IT will repair or replace defective products at no charge. For the remainder of the year, IT will cover the cost of repairing or replacing damaged parts. The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, antennas, cords, cabinets, ear-pads, or damage from power surges, improper voltage, misuse, mishandling, accidents, acts of God, or unauthorized repairs.
Obtaining Service
Purchasers must present an original sales receipt/proof of purchase. Request an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number via www.victrola.com. Returns without an RMA will be refused. IT may issue a replacement of equivalent value. To return an item, provide full name, return address, phone number, item purchased, proof of purchase, and reason for return for an RMA number.
Returns must be in original packaging or a suitable substitute. Include full name, shipping address, and telephone number inside the package. No returns to PO Boxes or APO addresses.
