ZKTeco MiniAC Plus Quick Start Guide

Overview
The MiniAC Plus is a biometric access control device featuring a 5-inch touchscreen, camera, palm collector, microphone, card reading area, and speaker.

Connection Ports:
The device features various connection ports for power, RS232, RS485, Wiegand, and auxiliary inputs/outputs.
Installation Environment Recommendations:
- Indoor Use
- Keep Distance (recommended 0.3-2m)
- Avoid Glass Refraction
- Avoid Direct Sunlight and Exposure
- Keep Effective Distance (0.3-2m)
Device Installation
Follow these steps for device installation:
- Attach the mounting template sticker to the wall and drill holes. Fix the back plate on the wall using mounting screws.
- Attach the device to the back plate.
- Fasten the device to the back plate with a security screw.
Standalone Installation
A typical standalone installation involves connecting the device to a door sensor, lock, exit button, alarm, and smoke detector. The device can also be connected to a PC via TCP/IP for network communication.
Connections
Door Sensor, Exit Button & Alarm Connection
Connect the smoke detector, door sensor, exit button, and alarm to the corresponding terminals on the device. Ensure the alarm's power switch is properly connected.
Lock Relay Connection
The system supports both Normally Opened (NO) Lock and Normally Closed (NC) Lock. The NO LOCK connects to 'NO1' and 'COM' terminals, while the NC LOCK connects to 'NC1' and 'COM' terminals. Connections can be made with or without sharing power with the lock.
RS485 Connection
Connect the RS485 reader to the device using the designated RS485 terminals.
Wiegand Reader/SRB Connection
Connect the Wiegand Reader or SRB (Standalone Relay Board) to the device using the Wiegand and SRB terminals. Power supply connections are also shown for a Normally Closed Lock.
Power Connection
Recommended power supply is 12V ± 10%, at least 3000mA. For sharing power with other devices, use a power supply with higher current ratings.
Ethernet Connection
Connect the device to a network using an RJ45 connector. The default IP address is 192.168.1.201 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. To configure network settings, navigate to [COMM.] > [Ethernet] > [IP Address]. Ensure the PC and device are on the same network segment when connecting to ZKBioAccess software.
User Registration
Users can be registered either directly on the device or through the ZKBioAccess software.
Method 1: Register on the device
Navigate to [User Mgt.] > [New User] to register a new user. This includes entering user ID, name, and registering face, palm, password, badge, and user photo. User role and access control role can also be set.
Method 2: Register on ZKBioAccess software
1. Add the device to the software by navigating to [Access] > [Access Device] > [Device] > [Search Device].
2. Register users by going to [Personnel] > [Person] > [New].
3. Assign users to access levels.
4. Synchronize data to devices via [Access] > [Device] > [Device Control] > [Synchronize All Data to Devices].
Method 3: Register on the phone
Users can enroll via a browser application on their mobile phone. Configure the QR Code URL in [Personnel] > [Parameters] and scan the generated QR code or access the provided URL to register users.
Settings
Ethernet and Cloud Server Settings
Configure network parameters in [COMM.] > [Ethernet]. Set the server address and port in [COMM.] > [Cloud Server Setting]. A successful connection is indicated by a specific icon.
Access Control Settings
Access the access control management interface by navigating to [Access Control] to set relevant parameters.
Records Query
Query attendance records by going to [Attendance Search] > [Attendance Record]. Input the user ID and select the time range to view attendance logs.
Note for Palm Registration and Verification
For successful palm registration and verification:
- Place your palm within 30-50cm of the device.
- Position your palm in the collection area, parallel to the device.
- Ensure there is space between your fingers.
