5. How to Download and Connect the App
5.1 Download
Scan the QR code provided or search for the "Laresmart" App in your device's app store to download and install it. The app is compatible with iOS 10.0 and higher, and Android 8.0 and higher.
5.2 Register
For the first installation, agree to the user agreement and click "Register". Select your "Nationality", fill in your phone number, click "Get verification code", set a password, and then click "Finish".
5.3 Connect to the App
- Choose Robot Model: Select your robot model, "L6 Nex". You can choose to "Add Manually" or "Auto Scan".
- Connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi name and password are correct (case-sensitive). If you have a 5GHz Wi-Fi, please set it to 2.4GHz.
- Reset Wi-Fi (AP Mode): Press both the "Power/Clean/Pause" and "Recharge/Pause" buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until you hear "AP Mode" and the Wi-Fi indicator light flashes until it blinks slowly.
- Connect "Smart Life-XXXX" Hotspot: Connect your mobile phone to the robot's virtual hotspot named "SmartLife-XXXX". After connecting, return to the app's distribution interface to continue.
- Add the Device: The app will begin adding the device. This may take some time for the first connection.
- Successfully Connected: Once the device is added successfully, click "Done".
6. How to Use the App
6.1 Intelligent Cleaning (Default Mode)
The robot vacuum cleaner scans the environment, generates a map, and intelligently divides areas for cleaning. It cleans each area sequentially in a Z-shape pattern. After cleaning, it automatically returns to the charging base.
Diagram Description: A visual representation shows a floor plan divided into sections: "Cleaned area", "Area being cleaned", and "Area to be cleaned".
Tips: For optimal map building, the robot should start from the charging base during the first cleaning. Avoid moving the robot randomly or frequently during operation. If moved, place it near its original position. The device will attempt to reposition; if successful, it continues on the planned path. If repositioning fails, it may abandon the task, build a new map, and potentially fail to recharge.
6.2 Cleaning as Required
Use the Laresmart APP to select this function. Choose a point on the map, and the robot will move to that position and clean a 1.6m x 1.6m square area centered on that point.
Diagram Description: Shows a map with a designated cleaning point and a square area around it. It also indicates required clearances: 1.5m (63 inches) on the sides and 1.5m (63 inches) in front.
Tip: Complete map building during the first cleaning session in the Laresmart APP before using this function.
6.3 Cleaning of Selected Area
Use the Laresmart APP to select this function. Choose specific areas on the map, and the robot will clean only those selected areas.
Tip: Complete map building during the first cleaning session in the Laresmart APP. Clear obstacles around the planned area, as the robot may enter unplanned areas, and the defined area does not serve as a safety barrier.
6.4 Cleaning of Defined Area
Use the Laresmart APP to select this function. Define specific areas on the map, and the robot will clean those defined areas.
Tip: Complete map building during the first cleaning session in the Laresmart APP. This function is for defining cleaning areas only and cannot be used to block dangerous zones. Map effectiveness and restricted areas may be lost if the robot is moved or the environment changes significantly.
6.5 Restricted Area Setting
Use the Laresmart APP to set restricted areas on the map. The robot will avoid entering these designated areas during cleaning.
6.6 Scheduled Cleaning
Set a cleaning schedule in the app. The robot will automatically start cleaning at the designated time and return to the charging base upon completion.
6.7 DND Mode
Do Not Disturb (DND) mode can be set in the Laresmart APP, with a default time period of 22:00-06:00. During this period, automatic continuous cleaning, voice prompts, and timing functions are disabled.
6.8 Other APP Functions
The Laresmart APP offers various functions, including:
Function | Description |
---|---|
Remote Control | Control the robot manually. |
Look for Robot | Locate the robot. |
Map Management | Manage saved maps. |
Cleaning Mode Selection | Choose different cleaning modes. |
Partition Area Editing | Edit cleaning zones. |
Area Attribute Customizing | Set attributes for different areas. |
Real-time Map Updating | View the map as it's being created. |
Language Selection | Choose the display language. |
Cleaning Record Viewing | Review past cleaning sessions. |
Consumables Management | Track the status of consumables. |
Self-Defining of Cleaning Sequence of Areas | Set the order in which areas are cleaned. |
Tips: Map building must be completed during the first cleaning session. This function is for defining cleaning areas and not for blocking hazardous zones. Map data may become invalid if the robot is moved or the environment changes significantly.

If the dock indicator blinks red after replacing the dust bag, unplug the dock, reverse it, and check the dust channel through the perspective window for blockages. If blocked, remove the dust channel perspective window with a screwdriver as shown in the figure.
Diagram Description: Shows how to access and clean the dust channel, including removing a "Cover of Dust Channel" and cleaning the "Dust Channel".
Tips: Violent disassembly is strictly prohibited. Reinstall after cleaning.
