FUJIFILM X100VI Digital Camera - New Features (Firmware v1.30)

Firmware Update Details (v1.30)
The following features were added, changed, or removed in firmware version 1.30:
- Wireless communication removed from Shooting Settings, Movie Settings, and Playback Menu.
- instax printer printing removed from Playback Menu.
- Changed the pairing procedure between the camera and smartphone.
- instax printer connection settings removed from Network/USB Settings menu.
- Wireless communication removed from the list of assignable functions in Button/Dial Settings > Function (Fn) Setting.
- Wireless communication removed from Button/Dial Settings > Fn1 Button Setting.
- Fujifilm's "instax SHARE Printer SP-1/SP-2/SP-3" accessories are no longer supported.
- Photos and movies can now be uploaded to Frame.io.
- Network settings item added to Network/USB Settings menu for Frame.io uploads.
- RAW added to Network/USB Settings menu under Bluetooth/Smartphone Settings > File Type Selection.
Smartphone Connection (v1.30)
Connect your smartphone to the camera via Bluetooth® for pairing.
- When the camera is in the shooting menu, press the Bluetooth button [?]. You can also initiate this process from the playback screen by pressing the button [▶].
- Select Bluetooth, then press MENU/OK.
- Select Pairing, then press MENU/OK.
- Launch the smartphone app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair the smartphone and camera using the displayed codes. Ensure the codes match.
Once connected, the camera screen will display a camera icon and a white Bluetooth icon.
- When paired, the smartphone and camera will connect automatically when the app is launched.
- Conserve battery by disabling Bluetooth when the camera is not connected to a smartphone.
Frame.io File Upload (v1.10)
Upload files to Frame.io. Ensure the camera's clock is set to the correct time and date before proceeding.
Connecting via Wireless LAN
- In the Network/USB Settings menu, select Network Settings.
- Select "Not registered". You can also select or edit existing networks.
- Select Access Point Settings. To manually set the IP address, select IP Address Settings.
- Select Simple Settings. To select your wireless LAN router or manually enter the router's SSID, select Manual Settings.
- Prepare your wireless LAN router as instructed on the screen. You can also connect using a PIN. Press the focus stick (focus lever) upwards to display the camera's PIN and enter it on your wireless LAN router.
- Once settings are complete, press MENU/OK.
- In the Network/USB Settings menu, select Frame.io Camera to Cloud > Connect.
- When connected, click "Get Pairing Code". The pairing code will be displayed.
- Log in to Frame.io on your computer or other device and enter the pairing code displayed on the camera.
- Upload your files to Frame.io.
Frame.io Camera to Cloud Settings
Adjust settings for use with Frame.io.
- Connection: Connect to Frame.io projects via wireless LAN. If your network is not registered, register it in Network Settings before proceeding.
- Disconnect: Terminate the connection to the Frame.io project and end the network connection.
- Get Pairing Code: A pairing code will be displayed to connect to your Frame.io project. Enter this code on the Frame.io screen accessed via PC or tablet to connect Frame.io and the camera.
- File Type Selection: Select the types of files to be uploaded to Frame.io. Each file format can be selected or deselected individually. Options include MOV/MP4, HEIF, JPEG, TIFF, and RAW.
- Upload Settings: Adjust Frame.io upload settings.
- Image Selection and Transfer: Display photos to be uploaded.
- Auto Image Transfer Command: Select ON to automatically display uploads for photos and movies during shooting.
- Transfer/Pause: Temporarily pause or resume uploads to Frame.io.
- Image Transfer While Power is Off: Select ON to continue uploading files to Frame.io even when the camera is turned off.
- Root Certificate: Copy the root certificate to the camera for use with Frame.io.
- Load from Storage Media: Copy the root certificate from the camera's memory card.
- Delete: Delete the current root certificate.
- Upload Status: View the Frame.io upload status.
- Scheduled Transfer: View the list of files waiting for upload.
- Scheduled Transfer Reset: Remove the upload display from all selected files for Frame.io upload.
Network Settings
Adjust settings for connecting via wireless network. After selecting a registered network, choose Edit to change the selected network settings.
- Access Point Settings
- Simple Settings: Connect to an access point using simple settings.
- Manual Settings: Manually adjust settings for connecting to a wireless network. Select the network from the list or manually enter the name (enter SSID) by selecting (Select from List).
- IP Address Settings
- Automatic: IP address is assigned automatically.
- Manual: Manually assign the IP address. Manually select the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address.
File Type Selection
Select the file types to be uploaded. Each file format can be selected or deselected individually. Options include JPEG, RAW, and HEIF.
