Programming Your New Remote Control

Follow these steps to program your SOMMER remote control to your receiver unit.

Caution: The programming button on the receiver is located at the edge of the receiver board. Holding the programming button for too long will delete all previously programmed remotes.

Diagrams illustrate the programming process. The first shows a receiver unit with its casing opened, revealing the programming button 'P' and an indicator light 'L1'. The second diagram highlights the programming button 'P' on the receiver and a button labeled '5' on the remote control.
  1. Open the casing of your receiver (refer to diagram). It is located next to your motor.
  2. On the receiver, press the programming button P. The LED light L1 on the receiver illuminates. Release the button P.
  3. Within 5 seconds of releasing button P, press the desired button on your new remote control for 2 seconds. Release the remote button.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each additional button you wish to program.
  5. Wait 10 seconds for the system to finalize the programming.
  6. Your new remote control is now programmed.
