The Video Camera Bird Feeder by Sharper Image has built-in sensors to detect, identify and record up to 10,000 species of birds. When a bird lands, it identifies the bird and sends you images on your smartphone.

Notes Before Installation
- Keep this device out of reach of children and pets.
- Ensure the camera is fully charged (DC 5V/2A) before initial setup. Charging indoors via Type-C and a correct adapter is recommended. Once set up, the Type-C charging cable can be plugged directly into the solar panel for continuous charging.
- Operating temperature range: -5°F to 120°F.
- Working relative humidity: 10% ~ 95% (non-condensing).
- Do not expose the camera lens to direct sunlight.
- The camera is rated IP65 waterproof for use in rain or snow, but do not submerge it in water.
Important Considerations
- This device requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi frequency. Ensure your router is 2.4GHz or dual-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz) and that both bands are enabled. Consult your router's instructions for details.
- Strong lights may interfere with QR code scanning.
- Avoid placing the device behind furniture or near a microwave oven.
- Keep the device within your Wi-Fi network range.
Assembling the Device

Downloading the App
To download the required app, scan the QR Code or search for the "BIRD LOVER" app in the iTunes App Store or Google Play. After downloading, the app will prompt you to register your device. You will receive an email or text with a registration code to create a password.

Wi-Fi Connection
Open the app on your device. On the "ADD DEVICE" screen, click "Add Device" or "+" to add your Bird Feeder. Select a "Smart Bird Feeder" icon to add your device. Ensure the Bird Feeder is powered on and the Red LED is flashing quickly. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to complete the device addition. 5. How long does the battery last?
Depending on usage, the battery can last up to 3 months in standby mode on a full charge.
6. How is the battery charged?
The battery can be charged indoors via USB. Alternatively, you can connect the included charging cable to the solar panel for continuous charging during daylight hours. Choose the method best suited to your weather conditions.
7. Why are there no saved videos, even after I inserted a memory card or purchased Cloud storage?
Adjust the recording settings within the app after inserting the memory card or purchasing cloud service. The camera will then automatically record videos when motion is detected.
8. Why did my device misidentify a bird?
Accuracy depends on the angle and clarity of the bird's picture. Ensure the picture is clear, identifying features (head, tail, wings, feathers) are not obstructed, and the bird is centrally positioned. If multiple bird species are present, the result will be based on the bird in the main position. See the provided image for the optimum photo angle.
