Product Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Smart Helmet! This product supports a 60FPS high speed camera, BT music, phone calls, remote controlled safety lights, and auto brake detection. It is designed to bring you enjoyment and provide increased riding safety and visibility to others. Please read the entire product manual carefully before using.

Helmet Introduction

The Smart Helmet features a PC shell and a polymer EPS protective layer, shaped using integrated molding technology. This construction makes the product lighter and stronger, with the shell and protective layer forming a single, closely fitted component to prevent separation during use. Despite its built-in functionalities, the Smart Helmet maintains an ultra-light weight of only 1.1 lbs., allowing for comfortable long-distance riding and enhanced safety.

Accessories

The Smart Helmet includes several accessories designed to enhance its functionality and comfort:

  • Goggles: Designed for magnetic attachment and detachment. The lenses are made of reinforced material for safety and clear vision, featuring an anti-fogging coating to prevent inner fogging and improve safety protection.
  • Fit Adjuster: Equipped with a high-quality elastic fit adjuster, allowing adjustment from 22.8" to 24" to accommodate various head circumferences.
  • Liner: A breathable material liner that helps keep the head cooler. It is easy to remove and reinstall for cleaning.
  • Camera: A built-in real FHD 1080P camera supporting up to 60 FPS high-speed frame rate, enabling stable video recording during rides. Pictures can also be taken during video recording without interruption.
  • Hands-free BT Speaker: Features a built-in Bluetooth 4.0 hands-free audio system. After pairing with a smartphone, users can answer or refuse calls, redial the last number, or play music. Navigation audio from the smartphone is also broadcast clearly through the helmet's speaker.
  • Remote Controlled Safety Lights: Integrated safety lights controlled by a remote. They provide turn signals to alert those behind for increased safety. The controls also support a strobe mode for constant flashing visibility.

Camera Use

Camera Resolution and Specifications

The helmet features high-definition wide-angle camera components. Video files have a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and static pictures have a resolution of 4032 x 2880. The maximum diagonal visibility is 120 degrees.

Video File and Image File Format

  • Video: Resolution 1920 * 1080 at 60 FPS (for 60FPS models), encoding format H.264, file format MOV.
  • Photo: Resolution 4032 * 2880, file format JPEG.

Memory Card

The product supports micro-SD memory cards up to 128GB. Insert the memory card correctly into the slot on the side of the helmet lining and turn on the camera power to take photos or video. For proper functioning, use a high-speed memory card of at least C10 class; otherwise, it may cause damage to video and image files. (Note: The memory card is not included in the accessories.)

Video Recording

  1. Press and hold the [Camera Button] on the Smart Helmet for 3 seconds to turn on the camera. A notification sound will play, and the power indicator under the camera cover will light up.
  2. Press the [Video Recording Button] to start recording video. A notification sound will play, and the power indicator will flash. Press the [Video Recording Button] again to stop recording. The notification sound for ending recording will play, and the power indicator will return to normal.

Take Photos

Press and hold the [Camera Button] for 3 seconds to turn on the camera. A notification sound will play, and the power indicator under the camera cover will light up. Press the [Camera Button] again to take a photo. A capture notification sound will play. Photos can be taken even while recording video by pressing the [Camera Button] at any time. The resolution of photos taken during video recording is 1920 x 1080.

Replay Videos and Photos

  1. Connect the Smart Helmet to your PC using the Type-C cable. The helmet will be recognized as a removable disk. Use your PC browser to find video files in the 'video' folder and pictures in the 'photo' folder. Files are arranged in numerical order; you can sort them by date to replay.
  2. Computer software can be used to edit video or photo files and share them. (Note: Editing software is not included and must be purchased separately.)
  3. If a Type-C cable is unavailable, eject the micro SD memory card from the helmet, insert it into a card reader, connect the card reader to your PC, and browse files using your PC browser and video player.

Bluetooth Speaker Use

Bluetooth Version and Specification

The Bluetooth hands-free speaker of your Smart Helmet is Bluetooth V4.0. The effective connection distance is 33 feet.

Pairing Mobile Phone

  1. Press and hold the [Phone Button] on the Smart Helmet to turn on the Bluetooth speaker. The indicator light will flash, and a power-on notification sound will play. After hearing "Bluetooth waiting for connection," release the [Phone Button].
  2. On your smartphone, go to Bluetooth settings. Search for "Smart Helmet," which will appear as "helmet_BT" in the device list. Select "helmet_BT" to connect. A connection notification sound will play upon successful pairing.

Playing Music

After successfully pairing your smartphone, you can stream music from any music app. The audio will be transmitted to the Smart Helmet's hands-free Bluetooth speaker, allowing you to enjoy music while wearing the helmet.

Answering, Rejecting, Making or Redialing Phone Calls

When Bluetooth is connected, you can answer calls via the helmet's BT speaker. For incoming calls, the helmet will announce the call number. Press the [Phone Button] on the helmet to answer, or double-press to reject. When your smartphone is in standby mode, double-press the [Phone Button] to redial the last call. (Note: Some smartphones may require you to manually select the Bluetooth device as the audio output for calls.)

Audio of Other APP

Your smart helmet can receive audio from smartphone apps via Bluetooth, such as navigation software or audiobook software. You can still utilize phone features without interruption while using these apps.

Voice Control

After connecting the BT hands-free speaker to your smartphone, you can activate your smartphone's voice assistant through the helmet's microphone. This function requires your smartphone to have a built-in voice assistant that has been activated in its settings.

Safety Lights Use

Specifications of Safety Lights

  • LED Brightness: 200 Lumens

  • Remote Control Signal Frequency: 433MHz
  • Buttons: Left Turn, Right Turn, Strobe

Pairing the Safety Lights with Remote Control

For first-time use, pair the remote control to the Smart Helmet:

  1. Press and hold the [Safety Light Button] on your smart helmet for 7 seconds. The Safety Lights will turn on and flash in a round circle mode. Release the [Safety Light Button].
  2. Press any key on the remote control. The Safety Lights will stop flashing and return to normal light, indicating successful pairing.

Using the Safety Lights

  1. Press and hold the [Safety Light Button] on the Smart Helmet for 3 seconds to turn on the Safety Lights.
  2. After the Safety Lights are on, use the remote control for turn signals. Press the left turn button [<] on the remote to activate the left turn signal light, which will flash for 8 seconds with an audio cue from the left speaker. Press the right turn button [>] to activate the right turn signal light, which will flash for 8 seconds with an audio cue from the right speaker. The signals and tones will turn off automatically after 8 seconds.
  3. Strobe Mode: For increased visibility, especially at night or in complex traffic, press the [Strobe Mode Button] on the remote control. Press it again to exit strobe mode.
  4. Brake Automatic Detection: The built-in G-sensor detects deceleration and automatically turns on the brake light in highlight mode to notify vehicles behind. (Note: This feature may activate due to jolts during riding and is not a product defect.)

Replacing the Remote Controller Battery

  1. Use a screwdriver or coin to turn the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control [Clockwise to unlock the cover].
  2. Remove the old battery and replace it with a new one.
  3. Align the battery compartment cover with the notch on the back of the remote. Press and use a screwdriver or coin to turn [Counterclockwise to lock the cover].

WARNING: Use only CR2032 button battery as the power supply for the remote control. Using incorrect batteries may cause damage.

Battery Specification

Charging

This product features an over-current and over-voltage protection circuit. The charging current is set at 350 mAh, and the full charging time is approximately 4 hours.

Warning: Please use a DC 5V USB TYPE C charger to charge the smart helmet. Using an incorrect charger may damage your smart helmet.

  1. Uncover the USB connector lid at the back side of the Smart Helmet.
  2. Connect the USB Type C charging cable to the adapter.
  3. Use the USB Type C charging cable to charge.
  4. The charging LED light will turn on as a notification during charging and turn off after charging is finished.

Battery Life

  • Bluetooth continuous music playing time: 72 hours
  • Safety Lights continuous: 12 hours
  • Duration of HD camera continuous recording: 3 hours

Note: These battery life statistics are based on typical application scenarios and laboratory test environments. Actual battery life may differ based on the use environment.

Waterproofing Instruction

Waterproof grade: This product is designed to meet IPX5 waterproof rating, providing ordinary water splash proofing.

Precautions: Do not immerse the product in water or use it in rainstorm weather to avoid damaging the electronic components inside the Smart Helmet.

Trouble Shooting

  • No response when pressing the power button: Please check if the battery has been exhausted. It is recommended to charge the helmet for 3 to 4 hours before use, as the battery may discharge during transportation.
  • Unable to take photos or video: Please check if the battery has been exhausted. It is recommended to charge the helmet for 3 to 4 hours before use, as the battery may discharge during transportation.
  • Unable to operate the safety lights by the remote control: Please try to replace the button battery of the remote control.
  • Unable to make phone call:
    1. Ensure your Smart Helmet and smartphone are properly paired and connected.
    2. Check if the volume setting of your smartphone is correct.
    3. Verify that your smartphone is set to use the Bluetooth audio device for calling preferences.
  • Screen is black when replaying video: Please ensure proper media decoder software (e.g., for MJPEG or H.264) is installed on your PC or video player.

Installing Accessories

Installing or Removing Magnetic Goggle

The Goggle is designed to attach/detach via magnetic connectors. Hold the Goggle and place it close to the helmet connectors at the front. The Goggle will automatically affix in position. To remove the Goggle, gently pull it away from the helmet.

Installing or Removing the Earmuff

The earmuff can be removed or installed according to the weather condition. In cold weather, install the earmuff to protect your ears against the cold wind and keep you warmer. The earmuffs are designed to be different for the LEFT and RIGHT directions; please install them accordingly. To install, hold the earmuff with the plastic connector towards the helmet's connection base in the correct direction and push the earmuff into the base until firmly secured. To remove, grip the edge of the earmuff and firmly pull it out of the helmet.

WARNING: Do NOT grip the middle of the Earmuff. Gripping the middle of the Earmuff can cause damage to the connector.

Helmet Wearing Instructions

Wear the Smart Helmet as indicated in the instructions below. Incorrectly wearing the helmet will not provide proper protection for the wearer.
