IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, follow basic safety precautions:
- Read all instructions before use.

- Do not immerse the unit, plug, or cord in water or spray with liquids. Plug directly into a 120V AC outlet.
- Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children.

- Avoid contact with moving parts.
- Do not operate in the presence of explosive or flammable fumes.
- Never place the cord under rugs or near open flames or heating appliances.

- Do not run the cord under carpeting or cover it. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas and where it won't be tripped over.
- Use of attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause hazards.
- Do not let the cord hang over edges or contact hot surfaces.
- Do not use outdoors.
- To disconnect, grip the plug and pull from the outlet; never yank the cord.
- Always use on a dry, level surface.
- Do not operate until fully assembled.
- This product is for household use ONLY.
- WARNING: Do not use in a window to reduce risk of shock or injury.
- WARNING: Do not use with any solid-state speed control device to reduce fire or shock risk.
- This product has overload protection (fuse). If the fuse blows, unplug the product, replace with the correct fuse rating (5 Amp, 125 Volt), and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, discard the product or return for service.
Polarized Plug
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other). To reduce shock risk, it fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If it doesn't fit, reverse the plug. If it still doesn't fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug or defeat this safety feature.
FEATURES & OPERATIONS
Pre-Operating Instructions
The product comes fully assembled and is ready for immediate use.
Operating Instructions
- Clip the fan onto a dry, level surface.
- Ensure the power switch on the back of the motor housing is in the "Off" position. Plug the cord into a standard 120-volt A/C outlet.
- Adjust speed by moving the switch on the motor housing left or right to the desired setting.
- To start oscillation, push the oscillation control knob (located on top of the motor housing) down. To stop oscillation, pull the knob up.
Wall Mounting Instructions
Note: The underside of the fan's clip has "KEY SLOTS" (2).
Select a suitable wall spot away from curtains or heat sources. Use a No. 10 pan head wood screw (1 1/4" length) threaded into a 2x4 wood stud behind the drywall. Leave approximately 1/4" clearance between the screw and the wall for the key slots to fit securely. Tighten the screw if necessary for a firm attachment.
WARNING: When mounting to plaster, drywall, or sheetrock, use a molly bolt or similar fastener to prevent the fan from becoming dislodged during operation.
Adjustment Instructions
Vertical Angle Adjustment
- To change the fan head's tilt angle, loosen the tilt adjustment knob.
- Move the fan head to the desired angle and firmly tighten the knob to lock it in place.
Horizontal Angle Adjustment
- Turn the motor housing to the desired direction.
- WARNING: Support the fan head assembly when loosening the adjustable height nut, as the fan head's weight may cause the extension pole to collapse.
Refer to a local hardware retailer for additional information on wall mounting.
CLEANING / STORAGE
Cleaning / Maintenance
Follow these instructions for proper care:
Replacement Fuse
If your 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse blows, order a replacement at 1-800-546-5637. To replace the fuse:
- Unplug the fan. Grasp the plug and remove it from the outlet.
- Open the fuse cover on top of the plug by sliding it down towards the prongs using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver. Ensure the cover is fully open.
- Carefully remove the fuse by prying it out with a small screwdriver, using the metal ends.
- Place the plug on a flat surface. Insert the new 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into the compartment and secure its metal ends with a small screwdriver.
- Caution: Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with a 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
- Slide the fuse cover closed completely. If difficult, ensure the fuse is secured by pressing down on its metal ends.
- Risk of fire: Do not replace the attachment plug. It contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard the product if the attachment plug is damaged.
Fan Cleaning
- Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
- Do not allow water to drip into the motor housing.
- Do not use gasoline, thinner, or benzene for cleaning.
- To access the fan blade, press the tabs on the front grill ring away from the fan to remove it.
- Clean the fan blade and both grills with a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution. Note: The fan blade should not be removed.
- Replace the front grill by snapping it back onto the rear grill.
- Clean the fan head with a soft, moist cloth, with or without mild soap solution. Use caution around the motor housing; do not expose motor or electrical components to water.
Fan Storage
In the off-season:
- IMPORTANT: Store the fan in a safe, dry location where it is unlikely to fall or be crushed.
- Store the fan fully assembled.
- Protect the fan head from dust or moisture.
