Introduction
Thank you for choosing this quality product. To minimise the risk of injury, please take basic safety precautions when using this product. Read this operating manual carefully and ensure you understand it. Keep these operation instructions in a safe place.
Safety Instructions
ATTENTION!
- Use in and near standing water, garden ponds, and swimming ponds is only allowed with a fault current protection switch with a triggering nominal current up to 30 mA (according to VDE 0100 Article 702 and 738).
- The device is not suitable for use in swimming pools, paddling pools of any kind or waters where people or animals may stay during operation. Operation with people in the danger area is not permitted. Consult an electrician if necessary.
- The device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with impaired physical, sensory, or mental abilities, or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless supervised by a person responsible for their safety or following instructions from such a person on correct device usage. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the device.
ATTENTION:
- Perform a visual inspection of the device before every use. Do not use the device if safety appliances are damaged or worn out. Never override safety regulations.
- Only use the device according to the intended purpose stated in this manual.
- You are responsible for the safety of the working zone.
- If the cable or plug is damaged due to external influences, it must not be repaired but replaced with a new one by an electrician.
- The voltage of 230 V AC indicated on the nameplate must match the existent mains voltage.
- Never lift, carry, or fix the device by using the power cable.
- Ensure the electrical plug connection is protected from flood and moisture.
- Before working on the device (maintaining, repairing, cleaning), pull out the plug.
- Avoid exposing the device to direct jets of water.
- The user is responsible for complying with local safety and mounting regulations. Consult a qualified electrician if necessary.
- The user must take appropriate measures (e.g., alarm system, reserve pump) to prevent damage caused by flooding in case of device malfunctioning.
- In case of device failure, repairs can only be carried out by an electrician.
- The device must never run dry or be operated with its suction line fully closed.
- Do not use this device to operate swimming pools.
- This device must not be integrated into any kind of domestic water circuit meant for potable water.
WARNING:
- Read all safety precautions and instructions. Failure to obey them might cause electric shock, fire, and/or severe injuries.
- Keep all safety precautions and instructions for future use.
Resistance
- The maximum temperature of the pumped liquid should not exceed +35 °C in continuous operation.
- The pump must not be used to pump flammable, gassing, or explosive liquids. It must not be used to pump other liquids, especially motor fuels, cleaning agents, or other chemical products.
Electrical Connection
- The electrical connection is made to an earthed socket 230 V ~ 50 Hz. Minimum fuse of 10 A.
- The motor is protected from overcharge and blockage by built-in thermal motor protection. When overheated, the pump motor automatically switches off; after cooling down, it automatically re-starts.
Installation
The pump is installed either in a stationary position with a fixed pipeline or in a stationary position with a flexible pipeline.
ATTENTION:
- When installing the pump, do not freely suspend it by its pressure line or power cable. The submersible motor pump needs to be hung up by the appropriate handle or placed on the floor of the shaft. To ensure impeccable functioning, the shaft floor must be kept free of mud and dirt.
- If the water level is too low, mud on the shaft floor might dry quickly and hinder the pump from starting. Regularly check the pump (by performing tests before operation).
- The float switch is adjusted to allow the pump to start immediately.
Note: The pump shaft should have a minimum size of 40×40×50 cm for the floater to move freely.
Mains Connection
The submersible motor pump is equipped with a protection plug. Connect the pump to a 220/230 V~50 Hz safety socket. Ensure the socket is sufficiently protected (min. 6 A) and fully functional. Plug in the plug to operate the pump.
Note: If the cable or plug is damaged due to external influences, it must not be repaired but replaced with a new one by an electrician.
Maintenance
- Before cleaning the pump, disconnect it from the power supply to avoid electric shocks.
- Only connect the device to an earthed socket to avoid electric shocks.
- Check and fix the outer protection device before using.
- While the pump is working, do not stay in the water and do not allow animals to enter it.
Working Principle
The pumps are equipped with an open or closed rotor mounted to the end of the driving shaft. It is surrounded by a large circular chamber and a base plate with mechanical inner parts. The suction orifice of the base plate is in direct contact with the liquid to be pumped. The rotor transfers kinetic energy (motion energy) via centrifugal movement to the circular chamber, where parts are transformed into pressure energy. The special design of the rotor optimises hydraulic performance without hindering the pump from transporting muddy liquids with solid matter and short fibres obstruction-free.
Steps of Use
- Connect the hose to the water pump.
- Put the pump into the water.
- Connect the pump to the power supply.
- Switch on the pump.
