3. Practical Tips
Load Tips:
⚠️ WARNING: When sorting laundry, make sure:
- Metallic objects like hair clips, pins, and coins are removed.
- Pillow cases are buttoned, zips are closed, loose belts and long robe ribbons are tied.
- Rollers, hooks, or clips are removed from curtains.
- Clothing washing labels have been carefully read.
- Persistent stains have been removed using specific detergents.
When washing rugs, bedcovers, or other heavy clothing, avoid the spinning cycle.
To wash wool, ensure the item is machine washable and marked with the "Pure virgin wool" symbol, "Does not mat", or "Machine washable" label.
Helpful Suggestions for the User: A guide for environmentally friendly and economic use of your appliance.
Maximise The Load Size:
- Achieve the best use of energy, water, detergent, and time by using the recommended maximum load size. Save up to 50% energy by washing a full load instead of two half loads.
Do you need to pre-wash?
- For heavily soiled laundry only! Save detergent, time, water, and 5-15% energy consumption by NOT selecting Prewash for slight to normally soiled laundry.
Is a hot wash required?
- Pretreat stains with stain remover or soak dried stains in water before washing to reduce the necessity of a hot wash programme. Save up to 50% energy by using a 60°C wash programme.
Following is a quick guide with tips and recommendations on detergent use at various temperatures. Always read the detergent instructions for correct use and doses.
- For heavily soiled whites: Use cotton programs of 60°C or above with a normal heavy-duty washing powder containing bleaching agents for excellent results at medium/high temperatures.
- For washes between 40°C and 60°C: Use detergents appropriate for the fabric type and soiling level. Normal powders are suitable for whites or colour-fast fabrics with high soiling. Liquid detergents or "colour protecting" powders are suitable for coloured fabrics with light soiling.
- For washing at temperatures below 40°C: Use liquid detergents or detergents specifically labeled for low-temperature washing.
- For washing wool or silk: Use detergents specifically formulated for these fabrics.
4. Maintenance and Cleaning
To clean the washing machine exterior, use a damp cloth, avoiding abrasives, alcohol, and/or solvents. For good wash performance, regularly clean the soap drawer and pump filters. A monthly service wash with a proprietary cleaner is also recommended.
Drawer Cleaning:
- Clean the drawer to avoid accumulating detergent and additive residue.
- Extract the drawer with slight force, clean it with running water, and reinsert it.
- Ensure the siphon cap is correctly refitted.
Filter Cleaning:
- The washing machine has a special filter to trap large residue (e.g., buttons, coins) that could clog the drain.
- On certain models: pull out the corrugated hose, remove the stopper, and drain water into a container.
- Ensure all water has been emptied from the drum.
- Before unscrewing the filter, place an absorbent cloth underneath to keep the floor dry. A small amount of water will come out.
- Turn the filter counter-clockwise to the limit stop.
- Remove and clean the filter. Replace it by turning clockwise. The filter handle locks when fully turned. Smearing a small amount of liquid soap on the filter seal can help refitting.
- Repeat steps in reverse order to reassemble.
Suggestions for Moves or Prolonged Disuse:
- If storing the machine in an unheated room for a long period, drain all water from tubes.
- Unplug the washing machine.
- Detach the drain tube from the drainage system, clip it to the rear of the machine, and lower it to drain water into a bowl.
- Secure the drain tube to the rear of the machine when finished.
- Keep the door glass and gasket clean.
The manufacturer's warranty covers faults of a mechanical or electrical nature. Faults caused by handling, installation, or misuse are not covered and may incur charges for repair visits.

Warranty
The product is guaranteed under the terms and conditions stated on the certificate included with the product. The warranty certificate must be filled in and stored for presentation to the Authorised Customer Service Centre. Proof of purchase must be available for warranty-related repairs.
The manufacturer declines responsibility for printing errors and reserves the right to make changes to products without altering essential characteristics.
Notes on Detergent Use and Ecological Effects
The use of ecological detergents without phosphates may cause the following effects:
- Cloudier rinse drain water: Due to suspended zeolites, which do not affect rinse efficiency.
- White powder (zeolites) on laundry: Normal, not absorbed by fabric, does not change color. Select a rinse program to remove. Consider using less detergent in the future.
- Foam in the water at last rinse: Does not necessarily indicate poor rinsing. Consider using less detergent.
- Abundant foam: Often due to anionic surfactants hard to eliminate. Do not re-rinse; it won't help. Conduct a maintenance wash with a proprietary cleaner.
If problems persist or a malfunction is suspected, immediately contact an Authorised Customer Service Centre. Always use original spare parts available from Authorised Customer Service Centres.
