Required Commissioning Applications

Required Hardware for CSIP-AUS sites

Prior to first iStore installation please email: pv.support@istore.net.au to ensure your retailer/company has a fleet portal.

HiSolar Application - Commissioning Steps

  1. Open Hisolar Application.
  2. Scan the inverter QR code > login as the installer and set the inverter password (recommend implementing a standard password for all inverters such as istore00).
  3. Follow the prompts to set the basic parameter and continue to device management via quick settings.

3.1 Basic parameter settings

3.2 Automatic Device Scan

TIP: To avoid waiting for optimizer scan, please turn inverter ON ten minutes prior to commissioning.

4. Communication networking settings

Authority from the user to connect to management system: Ticked for approval

Domain name: modbusbroker.istore.net.au

Port number: 27250

TLS Encryption: Enabled

4.1 Initial page settings

5. Use drop down arrow to select applicable WIFI network and password.

6. Once settings are complete, select finish and disconnect from inverter Wi-Fi access point.

Enabling MODBUS Communication via HiSolar

If the system requires additional CSIP-AUS DER controls, follow these steps to enable MODBUS communication via HiSolar:

  1. Select SET
  2. Select Dongle parameter settings
  3. Select Modbus TCP
  4. Select enabled (unrestricted)

Firmware Update Instructions

If the system requires additional CSIP-AUS DER controls, ensure the inverter has the applicable CSIP-AUS firmware installed. Contact tech support or download firmware from the iStore google drive.

Firmware Update Steps:

  1. Select the zip file received.
  2. Select "share file via".
  3. From the list of apps, select HiSolar.

  1. Via HiSolar, select Maintenance.
  2. Select Upgrade.
  3. Select Inverter Update.
  4. Select the package previously uploaded.
  5. Select "Upgrade".
  6. The inverter will then do an update and reset itself.

*This concludes the HiSolar Commissioning requirements.

Univers EMS Application - Commissioning Steps

  1. Open Univers EMS application.
  2. Once logged in to portal select plant guide > scan QR code of device.
  3. This will prompt you to the plant creation section.

4. Complete basic information and select next.

5. Ensure the correct NMI and Network Provider are listed (crucial for CSIP-AUS sites).

Note: Country/Region refers to council region.

5. Set applicable tariffs (if known)

6. Select save.

At this point, the plant will be set up and commissioned.

*Please follow the steps on the next page to add end user permissions.

Adding End User Permissions

  1. Select Management tab > Users tab > select + sign.
  2. Select "user" under role tab > select customer plant under related plant > username > email > authority tick. (Service provider will be pre-set to applicable fleet).

Once complete, end user will receive an email from iStore prompting them to set their password.
