1. Package Contents

The DrivePro dashcam package includes the following items:

2. Getting Started

2-1 Overview

The DrivePro 250 features the following components:

2-2 Inserting a microSD Memory Card

Before recording, insert a microSD memory card into the DrivePro's card slot.

WARNING: Always format new memory cards through the DrivePro before first use. Formatting erases all data. DrivePro 250 supports FAT32 file system only, not exFAT/NTFS.

To remove the card, push it to eject.

WARNING: Do not remove the memory card during shutdown to prevent data loss or damage.

2-3 Mounting the Dashcam

  1. Insert the mount bracket into the top of the dashcam and slide until it clicks.
  2. Clean the windshield area. Mount the dashcam in the middle of the windshield, near the rear-view mirror for the best view.
  3. Peel the protective film from the mount bracket's foam sticker and attach it firmly to the windshield.
  4. Turn the adjustment knob counter-clockwise to loosen, then adjust the dashcam's position.
  5. Turn the adjustment knob clockwise to secure the dashcam in place.

2-4 Connecting to Power

  1. Connect one end of the car lighter adapter to the DrivePro's micro USB port.
  2. Connect the other end of the adapter to your car's power outlet.
  3. The dashcam automatically turns on and starts recording when the car engine is switched on.
  4. When the car engine is switched off, the dashcam saves the current recording and powers off.

Note: Insert a microSD card before connecting to power. Some car power outlets supply power even when the engine is off; unplug the dashcam in such cases to avoid unnecessary power consumption.

2-5 Function Buttons

The dashcam has four function buttons (A, B, C, D) for various modes:

Mode Button A (Power/WiFi QR) Button B (Browse Files) Button C (Settings) Button D (Take Photos)

G-Sensor Emergency Recording:

The DrivePro automatically activates Emergency Recording mode when it detects a collision or hit. G-Sensor sensitivity can be adjusted in the Settings menu ⚙️. Higher sensitivity triggers recording on minor shocks; lower sensitivity requires significant shocks.

3-3 Parking Mode Recording

After the car engine is switched off, the DrivePro can enter Parking mode to record footage upon detecting motion or collision. Parking mode is disabled by default and can be enabled in the Settings menu ⚙️.

Note: Enabling Parking mode may drain the DrivePro's built-in battery.

During Parking mode, the LCD display turns off, and the LED indicator remains solid red. If motion or collision is detected, the dashcam records for about 15 seconds, the display turns on, and the LED flashes red. If no motion is detected for approximately 15 seconds, the display turns off again. Normal Recording mode resumes when the engine is switched on and the device is connected to power.

Transcend's car lighter adapter does not supply power after the engine is switched off. For long-term parking recording, use an external power supply. Enter Parking mode manually by long-pressing the Power button ⚡. To power off the DrivePro, long-press the Power button ⚡ again.
