[Image: Recording screen of the dashcam showing various indicators: recording status, video length, resolution, Wi-Fi connection, GPS connection, microphone status, battery status, and date/time.]
After the vehicle engine is started, the DrivePro automatically turns on and begins recording. By default, each video file is saved with a recording duration of 3 minutes. To adjust the recording length, please go to the Settings menu ⚙️.
After the vehicle engine is turned off, the DrivePro automatically saves the current recording and turns off.
3-2 Emergency Recording
30% of the storage space is reserved for emergency video files. Video files recorded in emergency mode are protected from overwriting.
Manual Emergency Recording
During video recording, press the red Emergency Recording button on the bottom of the DrivePro to manually activate emergency recording mode.
[Image: Bottom view of the dashcam with the red emergency record button highlighted.]
When emergency recording is activated, a warning will appear on the screen.
[Image: Dashcam screen showing an "Emergency Recording Mode!" warning.]
G-Sensor Emergency Recording
During video recording, the DrivePro automatically activates emergency recording mode when it detects a collision or impact.
- If the G-Sensor sensitivity is set to "High", the emergency recording mode will be activated even with slight vibrations.
- If the G-Sensor sensitivity is set to "Low", the emergency recording mode will only be activated with strong vibrations.
The G-Sensor sensitivity can be adjusted via the Settings menu ⚙️.
Note!
Loop Recording is enabled by default, meaning the DrivePro automatically overwrites the earliest emergency files with the latest recorded emergency files.
3-3 Parking Mode Recording
After the vehicle engine is turned off, the DrivePro can automatically switch to parking mode and record when it detects movement or a collision. Parking mode is disabled by default and can be activated in the Settings menu ⚙️.
Note!
Using the DrivePro's built-in battery in parking mode after the vehicle engine is turned off can drain the battery.
In parking mode, the LCD display turns off and the LED indicator remains solid red in standby mode. If the DrivePro detects a collision or vehicle movement, it records for approximately 15 seconds, and the display turns on while the LED blinks red. If no vehicle movement is detected within 15 seconds, the display turns off again. The DrivePro resumes normal recording mode when the engine is turned back on (connected to the power supply).
The Transcend adapter for the 12-volt car socket does not supply power when the engine is off. If long-term recording in parking mode is required, please use an external power supply. Manually activate parking mode by pressing and holding the Power button ? in normal recording mode. To turn off the DrivePro, press and hold the Power button ? again.
Low Battery Status
Please charge the DrivePro immediately after receiving the "Low Battery" warning to avoid system time errors. Please do not use the built-in battery for direct video recording.
