Operation Guidelines

The fan is designed for connection to single-phase AC power mains, either 127 V/60 Hz or 220 V/60 Hz. Ensure the air motion direction indicated on the fan casing matches the system's airflow direction.

Key Specifications:

  • Ingress Protection Rating: IP34 (protection against access to hazardous parts and water ingress).
  • Operating Temperature Range: +1 °C to +40 °C.
  • Electrical Appliance Class: Class II.
  • Installation Zone: Units with IP34 rating are permitted for installation in Zone 2, as per IEC 60364-7-701:2019.

A diagram illustrates bathroom electrical zones (Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 2) indicating where the fan can be installed.

Designation Key

Model numbers, such as '100 D (127-220 V/60 Hz)', indicate:

  • Voltage: e.g., 127-220 V/60 Hz
  • Fan series: e.g., D
  • Exhaust spigot diameter [mm]: e.g., 100

Installation and Set-up

Fan Installation Sequence:

  1. Preparation: Cut off the power supply and ensure electricity is turned off. The fan is designed for wall or ceiling mounting, with direct air exhaust into a ventilation shaft or a round air duct of matching diameter.
  2. Marking: Remove the front panel and terminal block cover. Mark the mounting holes on the wall or ceiling.
  3. Drilling & Wiring: Lead the power cable to the ventilation hole, drill the mounting holes, and install the dowels.
  4. Fixing & Connection: Secure the fan with screws. Connect the fan to the electric mains according to the provided wiring diagram.
  5. Final Assembly: Install the front panel to the fan casing.
  6. Power Up: Supply power voltage to the fan.

Diagrams illustrate each step, including electrical connections (QF circuit breaker, L-Line, N-Neutral) and physical mounting.

Connection to Power Mains

The fan is rated for single-phase AC 127 V/60 Hz or 220 V/60 Hz power mains. Ensure correct wiring:

  • L: Line for 127 V or 220 V power mains.
  • N: Neutral.

Wiring diagrams are provided for both ~220 V/60 Hz and ~127 V/60 Hz connections, showing the terminal block layout.

Technical Maintenance

Maintenance should be performed at least once every 6 months.

Maintenance Steps:

  1. Disconnect Power: Turn off the power supply and remove the front panel.
  2. Clean Fan: Clean the fan using a soft dry cloth or a brush.
  3. Clean Front Panel: Wash the front panel under running water and wipe the fan surfaces dry.
  4. Reassembly: Attach the decorative and front panel to the fan. Connect the power supply.

CAUTION: Do not allow water or liquid to come into contact with electric components.
