Homewerks Replacement Bluetooth® Speaker Kit
Speaker model BFP-272-V5.0 for Bath Fan model 7130-33-BT
Installation Instructions
Tools needed: Philips Screwdriver (+)
- If the bath fan is installed, remove the grille by squeezing the mounting springs and pulling the grille down from the fan housing. Disconnect the connectors to remove the grille from the fan housing, as shown in Figure 1.
- Note the placement of the speaker and how the wires are installed. You want your installation to look exactly the same when complete.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 8 screws holding the speaker in place, as shown in Figure 2. Retain the screws.
- Unscrew the two screws for the bracket along the wire routing. Removing this bracket will allow the wires to be removed from the grille. Retain the screws and bracket for re-installation later.
- Gently slide the speaker and attached wiring out of the grille.
- Insert the new speaker into the grille. Ensure the speaker wire is aligned with the bracket so the wire can be tucked underneath.
- Align the screw holes. Reinstall the screws removed in step 3.
- Tuck the speaker wire under the bracket and reattach with the two remaining screws.
- Join the connectors for the Bluetooth® speaker and LED light from the fan housing to the grille, as shown in Figure 3. Attach the grille by pinching the mounting springs and inserting them into the narrow rectangular slots in the fan housing.
- Turn on the power source. Test the unit.
