Important Notes & Safety Information

Please ensure your hardware and cooling system (tightness, pump function, fans) are functioning correctly before proceeding. This minimizes troubleshooting time. Alphacool is not liable for manufacturer warranties of electronic components. Assembly of the cooling system is at your own risk.

General Safety Advice:

• Not suitable for children under 6 years (contains small, swallowable parts).
• Never operate cooling components without ensuring coolant is flowing through the system. Coolers without coolant flow can become very hot, posing a burn hazard.
• Coolers not flowed through by coolant can destroy computer hardware. Always ensure the pump starts functioning when the hardware is powered on.
• Do not use tools (like wrenches or pliers) to tighten connectors. Plastic parts or metal threaded connections linked to plastic can be easily overloaded, leading to cracks or damage. Such damage, or damage from leaking coolant, is not covered by warranty.
• Use only connectors with a sealing ring. Hand-tightening is sufficient with a sealing ring. Tools are only permitted if explicitly stated in the instructions.

Intended Use

Alphacool International GmbH cooling components are approved for cooling Alphacool International GmbH computer components. Any other use voids the warranty.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Prepare Components

Components Included:

• Screw Set (9x M3x12 screws)
• Thermal Pads: 4x (15mm x 15mm x 1.5mm), 3x (30mm x 30mm x 1.5mm), 5x (15mm x 15mm x 2mm), 3x (30mm x 30mm x 3mm)
• 1x Backplate

Assembly: Place hardware on an antistatic mat. Begin by dismantling the original cooler. Carefully remove fan screws and covers. If the original cooler uses thermal glue, exercise extreme caution to avoid damaging components. Keep all parts. Clean hardware of thermal paste or pad residue using a solvent (e.g., alcohol).

Step 2: Apply Thermal Paste

Using a plastic strip or spreader, apply a thin, even layer of thermal paste to the GPU die. The layer should be less than one millimeter thick to prevent contamination of surrounding components.

Step 3: Apply Thermal Pads (GPU Components)

Remove the protective film from the red-marked thermal pads (15mm x 15mm x 1.5mm) and place them on the memory chips. Trim the 30mm x 30mm x 1.5mm thermal pads for the voltage converters to size. Remember to remove the protective film from both sides.

Step 4: Mount the Cooler

Mount the assembled cooler onto the graphics card as shown in the image. If a protective film is present on the cooler base, remove it now. Clean the contact surfaces on the cooler's bottom side with alcohol or a similar agent. The surface must be free of contaminants.

Step 5: Apply Thermal Pads (Backside)

Cut the yellow thermal pads as shown in the image for the back of the card. The orange pads do not require cutting. Place these on the rear side of the voltage converters and the GPU. Do not forget to remove the protective film from both sides.

Step 6: Attach Backplate

Place the backplate on the graphics card as shown in the picture. Apply slight pressure to ensure optimal contact between the backplate, cooler, and graphics card.

Step 7: Final Tightening

Screw the cooler together. Finger-tighten the screws with one turn each, following the pertinent instructions. Retighten all screws after approximately 12 hours of graphics card usage.

Warranty Information

Specified Normal Operation: All Alphacool International GmbH cooling components are designed and licensed for Alphacool International GmbH computer components. Warranty is void if used for unintended purposes.

Warranty Details:

1. Information, drawings, illustrations, technical data, weight, dimensions, and performance descriptions in brochures, catalogs, circulars, advertisements, or price lists are for informational purposes only. Alphacool does not guarantee the accuracy of this information. The order and order confirmation are solely decisive for the scope of delivery.
2. If a defect covered by warranty exists, customers are entitled to demand rectification, withdraw from the contract, or reduce the purchase price according to legal regulations. The warranty period for consumers is two years from receipt of goods. For entrepreneurs, the period is one year.
3. Warranty claims are valid only with the original invoice, sales receipt, or an ALPHACOOL confirmation of the warranty claim.
4. ALPHACOOL INTERNATIONAL GMBH has the sole discretion to repair or replace defective products or components. Replaced items become the property of ALPHACOOL INTERNATIONAL GMBH.
5. All warranty claims are handled by ALPHACOOL INTERNATIONAL GMBH or its authorized dealers. Repairs by unauthorized persons void warranty unless previously agreed upon with ALPHACOOL INTERNATIONAL GMBH.
6. ALPHACOOL INTERNATIONAL GMBH does not cover costs arising from product modifications.
7. The warranty excludes:
   • Regular checks, maintenance, and replacement of wear parts.
   • Incorrect operation or defects caused by faulty installation.
   • Damage caused by storm, water, fire, overvoltage, force majeure, war, incorrect power connection, insufficient or incorrect ventilation, or other reasons beyond Alphacool's control.
   • Damage resulting from transportation or improper packaging.
8. Consumer rights in the respective country, such as claims against the seller as per the sales contract, are not affected by this warranty statement. ALPHACOOL INTERNATIONAL GMBH, its branches, and distributors are not liable for direct or indirect damages or losses, unless mandatory legal provisions state otherwise.
9. Alphacool International GmbH does not assume the warranty of the electronic component manufacturer. Cooler assembly is at your own risk.
