Quick Guide – Configure Huawei Router using HiLink Mobile App
Step 1: Download the App
Download the Huawei HiLink App from the Google Play Store or Apple AppStore.
Step 2: Connect Power
Connect the power adapter to your Huawei router.
Step 3: Connect Network Cable
Connect a network cable from your ONT (Optical Network Terminal) to the WAN port of your Huawei Router.
Router Ports Description: The router features two LAN ports (LAN1, LAN2) and one WAN port. All ports support 10/100/1000 Full Duplex speeds. A USB port is also available.
Step 4: Connect to Router's Wi-Fi
On your mobile phone, connect to the wireless network name that starts with “HUAWEI–”. For example, HUAWEI-VC6XED. You can find the specific Wi-Fi Name printed at the bottom of your router.

Step 5: Wait for Connection
Wait for the Wi-Fi connection to complete. You will see a blue color tick ✔️ next to the connected network.

Step 6: Launch HiLink App
Now, launch the Huawei HiLink mobile App.

Step 7: Start Configuration
Click on the "Start" button. The app will automatically detect your internet connection.

Step 8: Set Wi-Fi Name and Password
Next, enter your desired Wi-Fi Name and Wi-Fi password. For example, you can name your network "My-A1".

Step 9: Set Admin Password
Set up your admin password. This password is used to manage the router's settings through a web browser. You can choose to use your Wi-Fi password as the router password by checking the option "Use Wi-Fi password as router password".

Step 10: Save Settings
Click on "Next" to save the settings.

Step 11: Saving and Rebooting
The settings will be saved, which may take a few seconds. The router will then reboot.

Step 12: Configuration Complete
Congratulations! You are done with the configuration.

Step 13: Connect to New Wi-Fi
Now you can connect to your new Wi-Fi network using the password you specified earlier.

Step 14: Enter Password for New Wi-Fi
Enter the password for the new Wi-Fi name "My-A1".
