2. Test Methodology
All measurements were conducted following ANSI C63.10-2013.
2.3. General Test Procedures
2.3.1 Conducted Emissions
The EUT was placed on a turntable 0.8 m above the ground plane. Measurements were taken in the frequency range of 0.15 MHz to 30 MHz using Quasi-peak and average detector modes.
2.3.2 Radiated Emissions
The EUT was placed on a turntable 0.8 m above the ground plane (below 1GHz) or 1.5 m above the ground plane (above 1GHz). The turntable rotated 360 degrees to find the maximum emission level. The distance to the receiving antenna was 3 meters, with antenna height varied from 1m to 4m. Polarization was tested both horizontally and vertically.

5. Test Results
5.1. 6 dB Spectrum Bandwidth Measurement
Standard Applicable: According to §15.247(a) (2): For digital modulation systems, the minimum 6 dB bandwidth shall be at least 500 kHz.
Test Procedures: The transmitter output was connected to the spectrum analyzer. RBW/VBW was set to 100 KHz/300KHz for 6dB bandwidth measurement.
Test Setup: A spectrum analyzer connected to the EUT.
Test Result: PASS. Please refer to Appendix B.1.
Remarks: Measured 6dB bandwidth at difference data rate for each mode and recorded worst case. Test results include cable loss. Worst case data at 1Mbps for IEEE 802.11b, 6Mbps for IEEE 802.11g, 6.5Mbps for IEEE 802.11n HT20.
5.2. Radiated Emissions Measurement
Standard Applicable: FCC Part 15.205 (a) and 15.247 (d) concerning spurious emissions and restricted bands.
Test Procedures: Measurements were performed from 9 kHz to 18 GHz and above, following specific sequences for different frequency ranges (9 kHz-30 MHz, 30 MHz-1 GHz, 1 GHz-18 GHz, above 18 GHz).
Test Setup Layout Description:
- Below 30MHz: EUT on a turntable, 3m distance to RX Antenna, 0.8m height for turntable.
- Below 1GHz: EUT on a turntable, 3m distance to Bi-log Antenna, 0.8m height for turntable, antenna height 1-3m.
- Above 1GHz: EUT on a turntable, 3m distance to Horn Antenna, 1.5m height for turntable, antenna height 1-2.5m. Extrapolation factor of 20 dB/decade used for distances other than 3m.
Field Strength Calculation: FS (dBuV/m) = RA (dBuV) + AF (dB/m) + CL (dB) – AG (dB)

5.3. Maximum Peak Conducted Output Power Measurement
Standard Applicable: FCC §15.247(b) limits peak conducted output power to 30dBm, with reductions for antenna gain exceeding 6dBi.
Test Procedures: Measured using a broadband peak RF power meter.
Test Result: PASS. Please refer to Appendix B.2.
Remarks: Worst case data at 1Mbps for IEEE 802.11b, 6Mbps for IEEE 802.11g, 6.5Mbps for IEEE 802.11n HT20.
5.4. Power Spectral Density Measurement
Standard Applicable: FCC §15.247(e) limits power spectral density to 8dBm in any 3 kHz band.
Test Procedures: Measured using a Spectrum Analyzer with RBW=3 kHz, VBW>=3*RBW.
Test Result: PASS. Please refer to Appendix B.3.
Remarks: Worst case data at 1Mbps for IEEE 802.11b, 6Mbps for IEEE 802.11g, 6.5Mbps for IEEE 802.11n HT20.
5.5. Band Edge Measurements and Conducted Spurious Emissions Test
Standard Applicable: FCC §15.247(d) requires emissions outside the operating band to be at least 20 dB below the in-band power.
Test Procedures: Transmitter output connected to a spectrum analyzer with RBW=100 KHz, VBW=300 KHz.
Test Result: PASS. Please refer to Appendix B.4 for Band Edge Measurements and Appendix B.5 for Conducted Spurious Emissions.
Remarks: Worst case data at 1Mbps for IEEE 802.11b, 6Mbps for IEEE 802.11g, 6.5Mbps for IEEE 802.11n HT20.
5.8. AC Power Line Conducted Emissions
Standard Applicable: FCC §15.207 (a) limits conducted emissions on AC power lines to 250 microvolts (66-56 dBμV for Quasi-peak, 56-46 dBμV for Average, decreasing linearly with frequency).
Test Setup Description: EUT connected to EMI Receiver via LISN, with a vertical reference plane.
Test Result: PASS. Test data presented on the following pages.
