The TOA PC-580RVU AM is a high-performance, cost-effective ceiling speaker designed to meet the needs for Mass Notification Systems, Voice Evacuation, Emergency Paging, and everyday Paging and Background Music requirements. When used with the HY-BC580U Back Can, the PC-580RVU speaker complies with UL 2572 (ULC S541, UL 1480 UUMW) for Fire Alarm Signaling and UL 2043 for use in air handling spaces.

The speaker has an overall diameter of Ø324 mm (12.76 inches) and a depth of 103 mm (4.05 inches). The mounting hole diameter required is Ø228.6±3 mm (9" ±0.12"). The unit is labeled as "UNIT: mm". A "Volume control" is indicated on the top view, and "Bridging terminal" and "Mounting screw hole" are shown on the front view.
Wiring Diagram
The wiring diagram shows an input connector with terminals labeled HOT (+), COM, and HOT(black). A 33 µF 100V capacitor is present. A matching transformer is depicted with multiple impedance taps. For the 70.7 V line, available taps are 16.6 kΩ (0.3 W), 8.3 kΩ (0.6 W), 5 kΩ (1 W), 2 kΩ (2.5 W), and 1 kΩ* (5 W). For the 25 V line, available taps are 125 Ω (5 W), 250 Ω (2.5 W), 625 Ω (1 W), 1 kΩ (0.6 W), and 2 kΩ (0.3 W). An 8 Ω direct connection is also shown.
