Attention!
With the key out of the ignition, disconnect the negative battery terminal before installing this product. Ensure that all installation connections are secure before cycling the ignition to test this product.
Dash Disassembly
Follow these steps to remove the factory radio and related components.
Step 1: Remove Trim Panel
Unclip and remove the trim panel surrounding the radio/climate control panel. (Refer to Figure A)
Diagram Description (Figure A): Illustrates the removal of the large dash trim piece that frames the radio and climate controls.
Step 2: Remove Radio/Climate Control Panel
Remove (4) 9/32" screws securing the radio/climate control panel, then unclip, unplug, and remove the panel. (Refer to Figure B)
Diagram Description (Figure B): Shows the radio and climate control unit being detached after removing four 9/32-inch screws.
Step 3: Remove CD Player
Remove (2) 9/32" screws securing the CD player. Slide the CD player out, then unplug and remove the CD player. (Refer to Figure C)

Step 4: Modify Sub-dash
Cut the sub-dash to allow room for the aftermarket radio. (Refer to Figure D)
Diagram Description (Figure D): Highlights the specific area of the sub-dash that needs to be cut or modified to accommodate the new radio.

Kit Assembly
Note: For steps 1 and 2, reference the installation manual provided with the radio for which hardware to use. The display screen and radio chassis use two different types of screws.
Step 1: Attach Radio Chassis Brackets
Secure the radio chassis brackets to the radio chassis using (4) screws supplied with the radio. (Refer to Figure A)

Step 2: Attach Radio Display to Brackets
Secure the radio display to the radio display brackets using (6) screws supplied with the radio. (Refer to Figure B)
Diagram Description (Figure B): Illustrates the radio display screen being mounted onto the display brackets using six screws.
Step 3: Attach Assembly to Trim Panel
Secure the display/bracket assembly to the radio trim panel using (4) Phillips screws provided. (Refer to Figure C)

Step 4: Install Climate Controls
Clip the factory climate controls into the radio trim panel. (Refer to Figure D)
Diagram Description (Figure D): Depicts the factory climate control unit being clipped into its designated spot on the radio trim panel.
Step 5: Connect Wiring and Antenna
Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra or AXXESS. Complete all connections to the radio and vehicle, then test the radio and vehicle for proper operation.

Step 6: Install Radio Chassis in Dash
Slide the radio chassis into the dash and secure using the factory screws. (Refer to Figure E)

Step 7: Secure Display and Trim Panel Assembly
Secure the radio display and trim panel assembly to the vehicle using the factory screws. (Refer to Figure F)
Diagram Description (Figure F): Illustrates the final mounting of the entire radio assembly into the vehicle's dashboard.
Step 8: Attach Factory Trim Panel
Clip the factory trim panel over the completed radio assembly to complete the installation.
