Understanding Your Nilight Rocker Switch
This guide provides essential information for correctly wiring your Nilight 5-pin rocker switch. It details two primary wiring methods to suit different power source requirements, ensuring optimal performance and safety for your accessories.
Wiring Method A: Accessory Switched Power
This method connects the switch to an accessory switched power source. The lower light on the switch will illuminate only when the vehicle's ignition key is turned on, indicating accessory power is active.
Wiring Method B: Constant Power/Battery
For constant power applications, this method connects the switch directly to the battery. The lower light on the switch will turn on only when the switch itself is manually toggled to the 'on' position.
Relay Wiring Diagram for Higher Power Loads
For applications requiring higher amperage, a relay is recommended to protect the switch and wiring. This section includes a clear wiring diagram illustrating how to connect a relay, a fuse, and your device to the battery and switch.
