Charging/Recharging

Lead-acid batteries require periodic charging. Recharge the unit at least every 30 days and after each use to maintain battery life.

IMPORTANT CHARGING NOTES:

  1. Charge for 20 hours or until the Battery Status Icon shows 4 solid bars before first use.
  2. Recharging after each use prolongs battery life.
  3. Turn off all other unit functions during recharging.

CAUTION: Failure to keep the battery charged will cause permanent damage.

IMPORTANT: If the battery icon shows full charge but the unit is discharged, it may indicate high internal battery impedance. Charge for 20 hours.

Procedure for Charging

  1. Connect the AC charging adapter to the unit's AC charging port and plug into a standard 120V AC outlet.
  2. The LCD screen will display charging indicators. The Battery Status Icon bars will fill repeatedly.
  3. Charge for approximately 20 hours or until 4 solid bars are shown.
  4. Disconnect the AC adapter when charging is complete.
