Important Safety Information

IMPORTANT: READ AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

Warnings

⚠ WARNING

Children have died or been seriously injured when gates are not securely installed.

  • This gate is suitable for use with children from 6 months up to 24 months of age.
  • Minimum width of opening is 27.6 inches; maximum width of opening is 55 inches. The ideal width of the opening is 35.4 inches.
  • ALWAYS install and use the gate as directed and use all required parts.
  • You MUST install the gate with screws and brackets. Without screws and brackets, children will be able to push the gate open.
  • STOP using when a child can climb over or dislodge the gate.
  • Use only when the [locking/latching] mechanism is securely engaged.
  • NEVER use to keep children away from pool.
  • Do not use the gate if any components are damaged or missing.
  • This safety gate must not be fitted across windows.
  • Gates must be checked regularly to ensure that they are secure and functioning in accordance with these instructions.
  • Additional or replacement parts must only be obtained from the manufacturer or distributor.
  • Check that the gate is always correctly closed.
  • Discontinue the use of the gate if it becomes damaged, broken, or disassembled.
  • If the gate is used at the bottom of stairs to prevent the child from climbing up the stairs, it must be placed on the lowest stair.
  • If you decide to use this gate at the top of the stairs, place it at least 8 inches back from the top step.
  • To prevent serious injury or death, securely install the gate or enclosure and use in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
  • Incorrect installation can be dangerous.
  • Danger to older children who are tall enough to climb over the gate.
  • Never install this product on glass doors. Install this product against reliable doors or walls.
  • This safety barrier is for domestic use only.
  • This safety gate has a manual closing system.
  • Do not put any goods which can be grabbed by children or pets near this product to prevent injury.
  • Before using this product, carefully inspect for any loose parts and whether any parts need to be tightened.
  • Always check that the safety gate is correctly closed.
  • Gate must be installed as close to the ground as possible, as per the installation guides.
  • The safety gate must be fitted between rigid surfaces such as plaster board, timber or cement walls.

Caution: This product is a deterrent and not a substitute for adult supervision. Never leave children unattended. Check the gate regularly to ensure safe usage.

Installation

Tools Preparation

Required tools include a Philips head screwdriver, pencil, power drill, and hammer.

Installation on wooden material: Requires drilling pilot holes and using wood screws.

Installation on cement wall: Requires drilling pilot holes, using expansion anchors, screws, and a hammer.

*Do not install onto sheet rock or glass.

Mountings

The gate must be installed on a structurally sound opening (wall, door frame, stair posts, etc.). Ensure the mounting surface is strong, rigid, and has an even surface.

Note on Stair Placement: If using the gate on stairs, it must be placed either on the top step or on the lowest step at the bottom.

1. For installation Screws (Wood Mounting): Drill 5/64" (2mm) pilot holes and use the wood screws provided, screwing directly into the wood.

2. For installation Screws Anchor (Hard Wall Mounting Concrete): Drill 15/64" (6mm) pilot holes about 50mm deep, insert anchor, and secure with screws.

Gate Placement

Suitable Placement of the Safety Gate and Catch Mount:

Inside Opening or Doorway: The gate should be mounted on the inside of the frame. An illustration shows correct placement with a green checkmark ✔ and incorrect placement with a red cross ✖.

Outside Opening or Doorway: The gate should be mounted on the outside of the frame. An illustration shows correct placement with a green checkmark ✔ and incorrect placement with a red cross ✖.

Installation Steps

The product must be installed on the ground to better realize the separation function.

  1. Main body Gate: Position the main gate assembly.
  2. Mark Bracket Positions: Mark the holes for the lower and upper brackets on the left side guide with a pen, ensuring they are in a vertical direction.
  3. Mark Latch Positions: Mark the holes for the lower and upper latches on the right side guide with a pen.
  4. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked positions using an electric drill.
  5. Insert Expansion Screws: Insert the expansion screws (anchors) into all drilled holes.
  6. Attach Brackets and Latches: Secure the two Brackets and Two Latches to the wall. Please ensure the obverse and reverse sides are correctly facing.
  7. Install Gate to Upper Brackets: Attach the gate to the upper brackets as indicated by the arrow.
  8. Install Gate to Lower Bracket: Attach the gate to the lower bracket as indicated by the arrow. It is recommended to install the gate to the upper bracket first, then attach it to the lower bracket.
  9. Unlock and Extend: In the "Unlock" state, the gate can be pulled out.

Adjustable Lower Gate Mount

The baby gate should be installed as close to the floor as possible for optimal function.

Gate Removal

  1. Push and Hold Button: Push and hold the release button on the bracket.
  2. Lift Gate Upwards: Lift the gate upwards to dissemble it from the bracket.

Operation

How to Lock the Gate

  1. Pull the Mesh: Gently pull the mesh of the gate.
  2. Hook Handle onto Latches: Connect the gate's handle to the wall-mounted latches.
  3. Turn to Lock Position: Turn the locking mechanism to the "lock" position to secure the gate.

How to Open the Gate

  1. Lift and Turn to Unlock: Lift the handle and turn it to the "unlock" position.
  2. Take Down Hook Handle: Detach the hook handle from the latches.
  3. Automatic Recovery of Mesh: The mesh will automatically retract.

Note: When the gate is retracting, always hold the handle and guide the gate evenly back into its original position. Never let go of the handle while the gate is retracting.

Cleaning Instructions

Simply use a soft damp cloth to wipe the gate dry after cleaning. Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaners.

Please read the instruction manuals carefully before using this retractable safety gate. Do not use if any part is broken, torn, or missing.
