Safety Instructions
General Safety Precautions
Before installing or using the product, read these instructions carefully and strictly observe the precautions:
- To avoid risks of fire, electric shock, or injury, use and install the product in compliance with basic safety precautions.
- Always follow the installation instructions provided with the product.
- Do not connect or use the product during thunderstorms.
- If used for voice communication, avoid acoustic shocks and excessive acoustic pressure.
- Install the product indoors and do not open the case.
- Connect Ethernet cables to the Ethernet port on the rear panel and to a computer's Ethernet port.
- Connect only to in-house equipment (SELV interface).
- Connect telephony cables to the telephony port on the rear panel and to a phone's telephony port.
- Keep plastic bags out of reach of children due to suffocation risk.
- The product is designed for vertical use.
- For wall mounting, use screws and dowels suitable for the wall material (recommended: 3.5mm diameter screws, 30mm+ length; 5mm diameter dowels, 30mm+ length).
Climatic Conditions
The product is designed for office or room use with a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C (104°F). Avoid installation in direct sunlight or areas with significant heat radiation.
Do not install where heat can accumulate (e.g., on or under other electrical equipment) or expose to moisture or condensation. Install in an environment classified as pollution degree 2.
Water and Moisture
Do not install in damp or dusty environments. Avoid contact with water or other liquids. Do not allow liquids inside the product. Do not use near water sources (bath, sink, washing machine, damp basement, swimming pool).
If liquid enters the product, switch it off immediately or unplug the power cord. Continued use may cause electric shock or fire.
Moving the product from a cold to a warm environment may cause condensation. Allow the product to dry before switching it back on.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Disconnect the product from the mains socket and computer before cleaning.
- Do not use detergents, aerosols, chemicals that may damage plastic, or flammable products (alcohol, benzene, thinner).
- To reduce electric shock risk, do not dismantle the product. Opening covers may expose you to dangerous voltages. Incorrect re-assembly can cause electric shock. Contact customer service for repairs.
Power Supply
- Use only the supplied power unit and accessories. Connect according to instructions and product label.
- Using non-recommended power sources may cause overheating, deformation, electric discharge, or fire.
Accessibility & Electrical Overload
- Ensure the power unit is easily accessible and close to the equipment for quick disconnection.
- Do not plug too many devices into a mains socket block or extensions to avoid fire or electric shock risk.
Damage Requiring Repair
Unplug the appliance and have it repaired by qualified service if:
- Power supply or plug is damaged.
- A supplied cable is damaged or frayed.
- Liquid has been spilled on the appliance, or it was exposed to rain or water.
- The appliance does not function normally or shows significant performance variations.
- The appliance has fallen or is damaged.
- There are signs of overheating.
If small metal objects enter the product, disconnect immediately and contact customer service. Do not reconnect until foreign bodies are removed. Disconnect immediately if you notice a burning smell or smoke. Do not open the product yourself.
Product Usage Environment
This equipment is designed for private use indoors. Ethernet and telephony ports are intended for indoor cable circuits within the building.
Wireless device usage may be prohibited in certain environments (e.g., airports) by building owners or organizations. Seek permission before using wireless devices if unsure.
Regulatory Information
- Sagemcom confirms compliance with Directive 2014/53/EU.
- The device operates within the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. Maintain a distance of at least 20 cm from people to limit radio frequency exposure.
- Frequency Bands and Power:
- 2400-2483.5 MHz: 100 mW
- 5150-5350 MHz: 200 mW
- 5470-5725 MHz: 1 W
- Restrictions: Certain countries have restrictions on the use of this radio equipment, particularly for the 5 GHz band (5150-5350 MHz), which is limited to indoor use in many regions, including the UK.

Class 1 Laser Product. Radiation emitted by laser devices can be harmful. Avoid direct or indirect exposure to laser radiation. Do not look at optical components. Laser rays used on optical fiber are not visible but are dangerous to human eyes, risking irreversible blindness.
