1. Introduction
Congratulations! You have chosen a high-quality product. The operating instructions are an integral part of this product. They contain important information for safety, use and disposal. Familiarise yourself with all of the operating and safety information before using the product. Only use the product as described and for the specific areas of application. Provide all of the documentation when passing the product on to third parties. Keep the instructions for future reference.
Explanation of Symbols
The following symbols and signal words are used in these operating instructions, on the product or on the packaging. In the following, the Battery-Operated LED Work Light is referred to as the product.
- ⚠️ WARNING!: Indicates a hazard with a high level of risk which, if not avoided, may result in death or serious injury.
- ❗ CAUTION!: Indicates a hazard with a low level of risk which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.

- ⚠️ (Children): Indicates potential danger to children.
- 8 (Age Rating): Indicates the age rating of the product (not suitable for children under 8).

2. Safety
Intended Use
This product is not suitable for household room lighting. The product is not intended for commercial use. Any other use or modification is not considered intended use and may lead to risks, such as injuries and damage. The distributor assumes no liability for damage resulting from improper use. The product is exclusively suitable for interior use. The lamp is intended for normal use and is not suitable for harsh operating conditions.
General Safety Information
- ⚠️ WARNING! Risk of injury and suffocation!: Do not let children play with the product or packaging. Supervise children near the product. Keep product and packaging out of reach of children.
- ⚠️ WARNING! Risk of injury!: Not suitable for children under 8 years. Children aged 8 and above, and persons with impaired physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience/knowledge, must be supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the resulting dangers. Children must not play with the product. Cleaning/maintenance must not be performed by unsupervised children. Observe national regulations.
- ⚠️ WARNING! Risk of injury!: Do not use in explosive environments (Ex). The product is not approved for environments with flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- ⚠️ WARNING! Risk of glaring!: Do not look directly into the lamp or direct it into others' eyes, as this can impair eyesight.
- ⚠️ WARNING! Risk of injury!: Do not use a defective product. Do not use if malfunctions, damage, or defects occur. If a defect is found, remove batteries and have the product inspected/repaired before reuse. LEDs are not replaceable; dispose of the product if LEDs are defective. Improper repairs can cause significant danger.
- ⚠️ WARNING! Risk of injury!: Do not manipulate the product. The casing must not be opened or modified. Manipulation/modification can cause fatal electric shock and is prohibited for approval reasons (CE). Do not cover the product during use.
Safety Instructions Regarding Batteries
- ⚠️ WARNING! Fatal danger! Batteries must not be swallowed!: Batteries can be fatal if swallowed. Keep product and batteries out of reach of small children. Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, tissue perforation, and death. Serious internal burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion. Consult a doctor immediately if a battery is swallowed.
- ⚠️ WARNING! Fire and explosion hazard!: Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries, do not short-circuit or open them, as this can lead to overheating, fire, or bursting. Keep the product away from heat sources and direct sunlight, as batteries may explode if overheated.
- ⚠️ WARNING! Risk of injury! Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands!: Leaked or damaged batteries can cause chemical burns upon skin contact. Wear appropriate protective gloves when handling leaked batteries.
- Use only type AA batteries from the same manufacturer.
- Insert batteries with correct polarity.
- Do not mix old and new batteries or rechargeable batteries.
- Store batteries in a dry, cool place.
- Never throw batteries into fire.
- Do not short-circuit batteries.
- Disposable batteries lose energy during storage.
- Remove batteries when the device is not in use.
- Remove discharged batteries immediately to prevent leakage and damage.
- Dispose of empty or used rechargeable batteries properly.
- Store disposable batteries separately from discharged batteries to avoid mix-ups.
❗ CAUTION! Danger of overheating!: Do not operate the product while it is in its packaging.
6. Start-up
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Check if all parts are available and undamaged. Notify the service address if not.
Batteries (2) are pre-inserted and protected by a safety wafer (3), which must be removed before first use.
- Unfold the product (1).
- Unlock the battery compartment cover (5) by sliding the locking clips (5a) backward.
- Remove the battery compartment covers (5) from the battery compartments (4) (see Fig. C).
- Pull out the protection wafers (3) from the battery compartments as shown (see Fig. B).
The product (1) is now ready for operation.
6.1 Replacing Batteries
If the COB-LED light weakens, the batteries (2) are depleted and must be replaced. Proceed as follows (see Fig. C):
- Unfold the product (1).
- Unlock the battery compartment cover (5) by sliding the locking clips (5a) backward.
- Remove the battery compartment covers (5) from the battery compartments (4).
- Remove the depleted batteries.
- Insert 4 new AA batteries into the battery compartments (4) according to the correct polarity.
- Replace the battery compartment covers (5) and close them until the locking clips (5a) click into place.
6.2 Using the Product
Hanging up the product (Fig. D)
The support leg (6a) can be folded out and serves as a suspension hook.
- Press and unlock the catch (7).
- Fold out the supporting leg (6a).
- Hang the product (1) over a pole/rope or on a hook.
ℹ️ NOTE! The pole/rope or hook must be able to support the product's weight.
- To secure against falling, fold in the stand leg (6a) again until the catch (7) clicks into place.
- If the hook function is no longer needed, fold in the stand leg (6a) until the catch (7) clicks into place.
Setting up the product (Fig. E)
Set up the product (1) in an appropriate place.
ℹ️ NOTE!
- The surface should be even to prevent the product from falling over. Ensure sufficient free space around the product.
- Place a protective blanket underneath the product to prevent scratching sensitive surfaces.
The standing legs (6a/b) of the product (1) can be rotated approximately 260° towards each other.
- Unfold the supporting legs (6a/b) fully.
- Fold the two lamp segments (7a/b) upwards.
The lamp segments (7a/b) are freely rotatable, allowing individual adjustment of the illumination direction (see Fig. F 1)-2)).
Attach product with magnetic function (Fig. F)
Magnets are integrated into the standing legs (6a/b) for attachment to magnetisable surfaces.
- Fold the standing legs (6a/b) together.
- Attach the product (1) to a magnetisable surface as shown in Fig. F 3).
Switching the product on and off (Fig. E)
- To switch the product (1) on, press the push button (8). Both lamp segments (7a/b) will illuminate.
- Pressing the push button (8) again switches off one lamp segment.
- Pressing the push button (8) again switches the lamp segments (7a/b) over.
- Pressing the push button (8) again switches the product (1) off.
Storing the product
- When not in use, fold up the product (1).
- Store in a cool, dry place, protected from UV light.
7. Cleaning and Care Instructions
❗ CAUTION! Risk of injury! Before cleaning, remove batteries from the compartment to avoid electric shock.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Do not use strong detergents or chemicals.
- Do not immerse in water.
8. Conformity Declaration
This device complies with the fundamental requirements and other relevant regulations of the European Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU and the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. The complete original conformity declaration is available from the importer.
9. Disposal
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging and operating instructions are made of 100% environmentally friendly materials and can be disposed of at local recycling centers.
Disposal of the product
The product must not be disposed of with normal household waste. Please inquire about disposal options from your local authority or town administration. The product may be recycled and is subject to extended manufacturer responsibility; it must be disposed of selectively.
Disposal of Batteries / Rechargeable Batteries
- Defective or used rechargeable batteries must be recycled according to Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments.
- Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste as they contain harmful heavy metals (Pb, Hg, Cd). You are legally obligated to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. They can be returned free of charge to our point of sale or nearby collection points (e.g., retailers or municipal collection centers). Batteries and rechargeable batteries are marked with a crossed-out waste bin.
10. Warranty
Warranty from TRADIX GmbH & Co. KG
This product comes with a 3-year warranty from the purchase date. Statutory rights against the seller are not limited by this warranty.
11. Warranty Conditions
The warranty period begins on the purchase date. Keep the original receipt as proof of purchase. If a material or manufacturing defect occurs within three years from the purchase date, the product will be repaired or replaced free of charge at the company's discretion. This service requires submission of the defective product and proof of purchase, along with a written description of the defect and when it occurred. The warranty period does not restart with repair or replacement.
Guarantee Period and Statutory Claims for Defects
The guarantee period is not extended by the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Any damage or defects present upon purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs after the guarantee period has expired will be charged.
Scope of Guarantee
The device has been carefully produced and inspected. The guarantee covers material or manufacturing faults. It does not cover normal wear and tear parts, fragile parts (e.g., switches, battery packs, glass), or damage due to improper use, maintenance, or unauthorized interventions. The product is intended for private use only. The guarantee lapses if the product is damaged, misused, or not maintained properly. All instructions in the operating manual must be followed precisely.
Processing in case of a Guarantee Claim
For quick processing, please have the till receipt and article number (e.g., IAN 367072_2101) ready. The article number can be found on the product's rating plate, engraving, title page of the manual, or sticker. Contact the service department by phone or email for malfunctions or defects. Send the defective product, proof of purchase, and a description of the defect and its occurrence, postage-free, to the provided service address.
