Step 1: Attach Brackets to TV
1-1 Select TV Screws
Choose the correct screws (M4, M6, or M8) and washers for your TV. Ensure the screws are the correct length to securely attach the bracket without bottoming out or being too short. The bracket should be mounted vertically on the TV back. If the TV back is not flat, use the provided spacers (H5mm, H10mm) and appropriate washers (MA, MB, MC) to ensure a secure and level fit. Spacers can provide more clearance, accommodate protruded backs, fit counterbored holes, or prevent blocking TV inputs.
1-2 Need Spacer?
Determine if spacers are required based on the TV's back panel design. Use spacers for increased distance between the bracket and TV, for TVs with protruding backs, for counterbored screw holes, or to avoid obstructing TV ports.
1-3 Screw Tightness
When attaching brackets to the TV, do not overtighten screws, as this could damage the TV. Use the appropriate screws and washers from the provided hardware set (MA, MB, MC, MD, ME, MF).
Step 2: Assemble the Mount
2-1 Tilt Adjustment
Attach the TV brackets (I, J) to the TV using the selected screws and spacers. Once attached, you can adjust the tilt angle of the TV. Loosen the two tilt bolts using the Allen key (F), pull the brackets to your desired angle (between -10° and 0°), and then retighten the bolts to secure the position.
Optional: For keeping the TV in a vertical position, use two M4 screws (MA) inserted into the designated holes on the brackets.
2-2 Assemble Wall Plate
Connect the two wall plates (H) to the connection plate (K) using the provided screws (C). Ensure these are securely fastened.
Step 3: Attach Wall Plate to Wall
OPTION A: Wood Stud Installation
A-1 Locate Studs: Use a stud finder to locate the center of your wood studs. Mark the center line. Ensure the wall's drywall covering does not exceed 5/8" (16mm). The minimum wood stud size should be a nominal 2x4 (actual 1 ½ x 3 ½ inches).
A-2 Mark and Drill Pilot Holes: Line up the wall plate assembly with the stud center line. Use the bubble level (T1) to ensure the plate is level. Mark the pilot hole locations. Drill pilot holes using a 7/32" (5.5mm) diameter drill bit. IMPORTANT: Avoid drilling into water pipes or electrical wires. Ensure you are drilling into the center of the stud.
A-3 Install Wall Plate: Mount the wall plate assembly directly onto the wood studs using the Lag Bolts (A) and a Socket Wrench. DO NOT use an electrodrill for this step. Do not use anchors when installing into wood studs. Ensure all 4 lag bolts (A) are firmly tightened to prevent unwanted movement.
OPTION B: Solid Concrete Wall Installation
B-1 Mark Pilot Holes: Position the wall plate assembly on the concrete wall. Use the bubble level (T1) to ensure the plate is level. Mark the pilot hole locations. The concrete wall should be solid, with no surface covering.
B-2 Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes using a 3/8" (10mm) diameter drill bit. IMPORTANT: Avoid drilling into water pipes, electrical wires, or mortar between blocks.
B-3 Install Wall Plate: Insert concrete anchors (not included) into the drilled holes, ensuring they are flush with the concrete surface. Mount the wall plate assembly using the Lag Bolts (A) and a Socket Wrench. DO NOT use an electrodrill. Ensure all 4 lag bolts (A) are firmly tightened to prevent unwanted movement.
Step 4: Hang and Secure TV to Wall Plate
4-1 Integrity Test
Before hanging the TV, perform a "wall plate installation integrity test" to ensure the mount is securely fastened to the wall. The mount supports a maximum load of 120 lbs (54.5 kg).
4-2 Hang TV
With the help of another person, carefully lift the TV and hang the attached brackets onto the wall plate. Ensure the TV brackets are securely locked into the wall plate assembly to prevent the TV from falling. Always make sure your TV brackets are in the locked position.
Step 5: Cable Management (If necessary)
Use the provided Velcro Cable Ties (T2) to organize and secure the TV and mount cables for a clean look. Adjust the length of the straps as needed.
Taking Down the TV from the Mount
To safely remove the TV from the mount, two people are required. To prevent breaking the locking latch, always pull and hold the release straps down while pulling the TV away from the wall.
