Important Safety Information

WARNING: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE WARNINGS AND THE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

• Read and follow all instructions before assembly and use.
• Inspect the HALO Bassinest® glide sleeper for damaged hardware, loose or missing components or sharp edges before each use.
• Discontinue use when the child shows signs of being able to pull up, rollover, push up or sit up unassisted, or move out of the sleep area.
• Never leave child unattended.
• This product is not intended to be resold or returned to a retailer.

Fall Hazard

Do not use when the infant begins to push up on hands and knees or has reached 20 pounds (9 kg), whichever comes first. Always check that the bassinet is securely locked on the base/stand.

Suffocation Hazard

• Keep small parts away from children.
• Use only the pad provided by the manufacturer. NEVER add a pillow, comforter, or another mattress.
• NEVER place additional objects in the Bassinest glide sleeper.
• Ensure the pad is positioned correctly. Do not create pockets between the pad and mesh sides.
• To reduce the risk of SIDS, place infants on their backs to sleep.
• Use only the provided sheet or one specifically designed for the mattress.
• Never use plastic shipping bags or plastic film as a mattress cover.
• Discard all plastic packaging materials immediately.
• Product is designed for one baby only.

Strangulation Hazard

• DO NOT place items with a string around a child's neck.
• DO NOT suspend strings over a bassinet/crib/cradle or attach strings to toys.
• DO NOT place the Bassinest glide sleeper near windows or patio doors with cords from blinds or drapes.

Injury Hazard

• Never place more than one infant in the Bassinest glide sleeper.
• Never carry the Bassinest glide sleeper with an infant in it.
• Never use the Bassinest glide sleeper when the infant sleep area is separated from its base.
• Do not allow young children to play unsupervised near the Bassinest glide sleeper.
• Always remove child before adjusting height.
• Always ensure the sleeping area is secure to its base before use.
• Always use on a horizontal floor.
• Not for use in an automobile.
• Be aware of the risk of open fires and strong heat sources.
• Do not place anything in the Bassinest glide sleeper to elevate the mattress.
• The base is intended for use only with the provided glide sleeper top.

Assembly Instructions

Tools required: #2 Phillips screwdriver (not included)

Parts included: 2 side walls, 2 legs, curved base frame, upper base frame, sleep area, glide handle, 2 large screws, 4 small screws, 2 cap nuts, owner's manual, and registration card.

1. Remove contents from carton and discard all packaging.
2. Assemble the base: Attach the two legs to the lower, curved base frame. Ensure gliders on the bottom of feet face down. Align holes in the legs with holes in the curved base frame. Insert large screws through holes and secure with cap nuts.
3. Insert legs from the upper base frame into the legs of the lower base frame. Press the spring pin buttons and push the upper base frame into the lower base frame until it clicks.
4. Attach the glide handle to the upper base frame. Squeeze the pins and push the glide handle into the upper base frame until it clicks.
5. Assemble the sleep area: Open top flaps and side panels to expose railing poles. Attach railing marked "A" into sidewall opening marked "A" and push together until the spring pin engages. Repeat for remaining railings and sidewall openings. Ensure railing clicks and is secure.
6. Insert the sidewall into the opening in the sleep area base. It should click when properly installed. Repeat on the other side.
7. Fold fabric side panel around the sidewall. Fold fabric flap over the sidewall and attach to fastener strips. Repeat on both sides.
8. Place the assembled sleep area onto the glide handle. Ensure the HALO Bassinest® label is on the back wall and the retractable wall is closest to the handle. Align pre-drilled holes in the sleep area with holes in the glide handle. Insert small screws and tighten with a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Close fabric flaps over the sleep surface using fastener strips.

Using the Bassinest Glide Sleeper

Height Adjustment

To adjust height: Press and hold the adjustment button, then lift the handle to one of the 4 predetermined height positions. The base will click into place when secure.

Retractable Wall Operation

• To unlock retractable wall: Slide locking mechanisms out of sidewall notches until the front wall moves freely. Lift slightly and adjust lock if needed.
• To lock retractable wall: Slide locking mechanisms into sidewall notches until the front wall is immobilized.
• To use retractable wall: Push down gently on the front railing. The wall will automatically return to its upright position when pressure is removed.

Gliding Function

Use the glide handle beneath the sleep area to glide the bassinet. DO NOT push or pull on the fabric of the sleep area.

Care and Maintenance

• Remove and wash the sheet before use. Machine wash in warm water with like colors. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry on low.
• Clean the base, sleep area, and mattress regularly with a mild cleaning solution and a damp cloth. Do not use bleach or harsh/abrasive cleaners. Rinse with water and allow to dry completely.
• When not in use, clean the unit and store in a clean, dry location.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the sleep surface board or remove the lining cover.
• For large spills, use a mixture of vinegar and water, wipe, and air dry.
• Do not submerge the sleep surface board or walls in water.
