Technical Data

The Motor and Wheel Assembly

The Roadstar Transformer features a magnetic DC brushless motor in the rear wheel hub, providing excellent low-end torque and high efficiency. It is quiet but produces some noise. The rear hub also contains speed reduction gears and a free clutch.

The Controller

Daymak Drive technology manages the scooter's electronic functions, enabling faster acceleration, better hill climbing, and energy saving. The controller, located under the seat, regulates speed and functions, offering stepless speed adjustment, motor cutoff upon braking, low voltage protection, and fuses. These can be managed via a Bluetooth app.

The Brakes

Front Brakes: Hydraulic disc brakes offer fine stopping and control. They require periodic servicing and tension adjustment.

Rear Brakes: Hydraulic disc brakes provide a strong friction grip and should be used before the front brakes.

Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

Record your VIN in a safe place for security and warranty registration. The VIN plate is located on the opposite side of the charging port.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Many components are not user-serviceable. Altering electrical or mechanical parts voids the warranty.

Tire Pressure

Maintain proper tire pressure as indicated on the tire sidewall. Cold weather reduces pressure; warm weather increases it. Adjust pressure using an air pump.

Replacing Flat Tires

Replacing tire tubes is complex, especially for the rear wheel due to the hub motor. Contact a Daymak dealer for assistance or professional replacement.

The Motor

Do not service the motor yourself. Bring the scooter to a Daymak dealer. Suggested maintenance is every 100 running hours.

Shock Absorbers and Comfort

If the ride feels bumpy, check tire pressure first. If the issue persists, consult a Daymak dealer.

Bringing in Your Mobility Scooter for Service

If the scooter is not performing correctly, disconnect the circuit breaker and take it to a Daymak dealer. Daymak is not responsible for damage or injuries from improperly serviced parts.

Cleaning

Clean the scooter weekly. Avoid high-pressure water sprays and keep water away from the battery. Clean gently, ensuring electrical parts are dry. Inspect for worn or damaged parts during cleaning.

Lubricating

Lubricate levers and cables for smoother operation. Clean excess lubricant and dirt with a degreaser.

Weather

Do not leave the scooter in rain or snow. Store it in a dry, shaded area. Do not open casings or chargers, as this can make them susceptible to water damage.

Batteries should be removed if not in use and charged monthly.
