Planning Information:
Maintain minimum clearances to combustible surfaces as indicated in installation diagrams. For 48" (1219) models, two separate electrical supplies are required. Position receptacles with grounds facing each other to prevent cord interference.
Electrical Requirements:
Installation must adhere to all applicable electrical codes. Locate the electrical supply flush with the wall or floor. A dedicated circuit for this appliance is required. If a power supply cord is used, it must be rated for 240 V, 50 amps, and include 3 or 4 conductors. A 4-conductor cord is necessary if grounding through the neutral is prohibited.
CAUTION: Risk of electric shock. If the cord or plug is damaged, disconnect the appliance from the power supply and replace it only with a cord or plug of the same type.
Performance may be compromised if the electrical supply is less than 240 volts.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Two separate electrical services are required for 48" (1219) models.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS | Details |
---|---|
Electrical Supply | Grounded, 240/208 VAC, 60 Hz |
Service* | 50 amp dedicated circuit |
* Two services required for 48" (1219) models.
Refer to the appliance's rating plate for specific electrical information.
Installation Clearances and Opening Dimensions:
Proper installation requires adherence to specific clearances and opening sizes:
Clearances:
- 2 inches (51 mm) from appliance to wall.
- 13 inches (330 mm) clearance to combustible surfaces.
- 18 inches (457 mm) clearance to the bottom of a ventilation hood.
- Combustible materials must not be located within the shaded area above the countertop, which indicates minimum clearance to combustible surfaces.
- For island installations, maintain a 12-inch (305 mm) minimum clearance from the back of the range to the combustible rear wall above the countertop.
Opening Width and Depth Requirements:
Range Size | Opening Width (W) | Depth (A) |
---|---|---|
30" Range | 30 inches (762 mm) | 10 1/4 inches (260 mm) |
36" Range | 36 inches (914 mm) | 16 1/4 inches (413 mm) |
48" Range | 48 inches (1219 mm) | 18 1/4 inches (464 mm) |
